    Question on 2.0

So my understanding is that we will get a chance to change the appearance of character at the start of 2.0

I purchased the CE when the game launched, and I have my fancy onion knight helm. but a friend also gave me his standard edition pre-order code recently. because you only get the item for new characters, I have not yet registered the code.

So i'm wondering if i register the code prior to 2.0, and then change my appearance, will this effectively count as a remake and i'll get the goggles?

are there any plans to change these items at the launch of 2.0? any plans to add extra goodies for CE holders? such as an onion knight helm for chocobo?

Hmm. Doubt it, Since the inventory won't be changing. It's possible though I guess.

Yeah. I'm not expecting it, but a definitive answer woudl be nice. if i know i'm not getting it i was planning on giving it to a friend who will eb starting up on 2.0 release.

since it's a relaunch and they are likely to do a bunch of freebies. we can't really pre-order again. but freebies are always a good way to bring new players in and generate hype.

those of us with legacy have something to look forward to. but aside from just the promise of no longer failing and the potential PS3 pre-order freebies/CE items there's not a whole lot of extra hype yet. of course the marketing campaign doesn't kick off for a while yet.
