Trophy Support. What do you think?

I wanted to wait a bit before making this thread, but I can't help it.

I want to know if this will be available in the PS3 version

The PS3 version is drawing near every passing month, and so I thought if the PC version has achievements, then the PS3 version should get trophies linked with their current achievements or something different. Since pretty much every PS3 game is required to have trophy support right now, and even Metal Gear Solid 4 is confirmed to get a re-release and a trophy patch for current owners. (news from andriasang.com) I think it'll be one of the best things SE can do to give console players challenging goals to accomplish, and longevity by unlocking trophies, since I myself will be getting the PS3 version.

They can always patch in more trophies, and achievements like they do right now to keep us busy. Especially for those that like to grind trophies to show of their e-peen on PSN. I know a good few.

I hope they at least consider this.

Personally the trophies in PS3 should match the trophies earned in game.

Regardless, as mentioned earlier, every game's have to have a trophy system on PS3. This will be no exception.

Plus it would be pretty crazy not to implement them if they took the time to do it for the PC anyway. That should be the easiest feature to transfer from one system to the other.

Personally, I agree with this. Many of the FFXIV Veterans will be screwed over by switching to PS3 when 2.0 comes out for Ps3, assuming they follow the same trophy system in FFXIV PC (which really makes sense anyway.)

In theory, I think they can probably do it via NPC for Veteran PS3 players for FFXIV. IE: Have the NPC 'send the data' to trigger the trophies earned.
