Missing gear

Hi all, i recently logged back in after a hiatus, curse the real world, and i found at least half of my jobs are missing multiple pieces of gear. My sub never lapsed. anyone have any idea why?

I know they removed belts awhile back but it wouldn't have affected anything else besides that I think. If it's artifact gear (the gear you get when jobs reach a certain level milestones) you can buy them again from sundry vendors in the major cities. This is under the assumption that you've already checked everything like your saddlebag or retainers.

no clue, never had this issue, i guess be careful who has access toy your passwords be it via access to your PC or via 3d party software.

cant say I have ever seen that before, nor even heard of it. what kind of gear was it? is it all the same slot or random?

I tthink if you log in to your account you can check log in locations to see if someone else logged in "for you"

Check your armory and the other various inventory systems.
Your profile shows you have a level 90, I can't think of any items getting removed from the game since EW so it's probably not that.
Depending on what happened during your hiatus your saved gearsets might simply be looking for items you have since replaced, like if you've restored your saved settings from a backup that wasn't quite up to date.

If the items are gone and you haven't mistakenly gotten rid of them yourself check your account for foreign logins because short of those options I can't think of anything.

Click the button next to your gearsets. It is called "Recommended Gear". It will find the best gear available for your job from your Armory Chest. Then you can click the button to save the gearset.

If it fails to find any gear, try glance at your inventory and then go and buy the best gear you can, either with tomestones or with gil from the Market Board.

If the job is level 90, you can get the tomestone gear from Radz. If the job is below 90, you can get the poetics gear from the blue bag icon NPC next to city state aetherytes:
80 - The Crystarium
70 - Kugane
60 - Foundation
50 - Gridania/Limsa/Ul'dah

Additional note, gearsets are client-side, I believe. Gear can appear "missing" if your gearset is old and looking for gear that you've since removed on a different client.
