Alright, thx for the answer. Then, no excuse for the "reduce number of buttons" position. No the cross hotbars are incredibly easy to use
There is just optional extension of the bars using easy to press combos of buttons that not everyone turns on
1) the 16 core actions (L2+circle/square/x/triangle/left/right/up/down + R2+circle/square/x/triangle/left/right/up/down)
2) the 16 extended actions (double tap L2+circle/square/x/triangle/left/right/up/down + double tap R2+circle/square/x/triangle/left/right/up/down)
3) the hyper extended options (L+R+circle/square/x/triangle/left/right/up/down + R+L+circle/square/x/triangle/left/right/up/down)
If you really want to get whacky you can also shift to another cross hotbar with R1+circle/square/x/triangle, for example I used to put my AOE actions on a different hotbar, using this design you functionally have 64 easy to access buttons
Controller doesn’t have remote hotbar space problems and people who think it doesn’t either don’t play on controller or don’t understand the cross hotbar system
