Lost my Monoa Mask

Hi All ~

Newbie here. Rolled an Archer (currently at lvl 18) and am doing my MSQ's. Unfortunately I must have sold my Monoa Mask so I can't complete "Renewing the Covenant" MSQ. Now my character can't progress and there's no way to reset this quest. Is there any way to fix this or should I just delete this character and try again.

Check the Calamity Salvager near Min Khetto's Amphitheatre. He sells a lot of unique quest-rewards for situations just like yours. (But only after you have done the corresponding quest, of course.)

It should be unsellable, so I don't think you could have sold it.

Try /isearch Monoa to see if it's just hiding in your inventory, saddlebag or retainers. Otherwise maybe check the Calamity Salvager.

I'm so new that I'm still using only the first inventory bag. Nada. Weird that you can't abandon and reacquire the quest. Calamity Salvager does not offer the mask. I'll give it another try, but it looks like I'll have to start on a new toon.

The Monoa Mask is unsellable so I echo you try typing /isearch Monoa as the only way you can have actually lost it completely is to actually discard it and had to check the "Discard unique/untradable item" box and then hit Yes.

It could also be in your armory chest and not your bag. The default is to store all newly obtained items in the Armoury Chest which is separate from your inventory. See if it is in there.

If it is actually gone double check the Calamity Salvager, look under "Purchase Quest Rewards" -> "Purchase Quest Rewards I" and you should see it on the very top of the list.
Only reason I can think that it wouldn't be there is perhaps it is only available after you complete the quest.

Also, if you are new you probably only are seeing 1/4 of your inventory at a time so check all the tabs or see it in one pane by going to character config -> item settings (looks like a bag) and on the top change the 'Inventory Interface' to 'Open All' or whichever looks good to you. You can also turn the adding all new gear to armory chest off from there.

• Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (X:11.3 Y:14.3)
• Old Gridania (X:10.0 Y:8.4)
• Ul'dah - Steps of Thal (X:12.6 Y:13.1)

As the above poster said, it should be under Purchase Quest Rewards.

Seconding Jeeqbit above, according to the listing for it on the Lodestone, it is indeed purchasable from the Calamity Salvager if you happen to discard it, so if it's not showing up, it means you still possess it, but probably have it in your inventory.

Are you checking the 'headgear' section of the Armoury Chest instead of the inventory, or vice versa? (The armoury chest is the section where gear goes into automatically and opens up when you select the character sheet, the actual inventory is something entirelly seperate and gear only goes into that if you have no spaces in the armoury chest left.).

Incidentally, the appearence of the Monoa Mask actually isn't unique, as there are some other head pieces with the same appearence, although those have higher level than what the Monoa Mask is. But it is an alternative if all you want for it is the appearence for glamour (it has no other use in the game after that early main scenario quest so you haven't 'broken' your game if you accidentally lost it, so don't worry.).

I'm actually pretty sure that it shows in the Calamity Salvager regardless of if you still have it or not. It just wouldn't let you purchase it again if it's already in your inventory.

The quest prior to the one they are stuck on is what enables it to appear in the Calamity Salvager.

The /isearch command is incredibly useful for finding potentially misplaced items. It also works with partial strings, so "/isearch mon" or "/isearch mask"(without the quote marks for either) would give you a list of every item you possess in any storage capacity you have access to that matches the search string. Then its right click the item in the chat window and use the "search for item" command and it gives you every location you have that item in on one screen(you would only have one of this mask, but if for instance you were looking for a potion instead you could find them all at once).
