And it's more than just the stats. UI elements for certain stages of relic progress would need redone. Zodiac books needing modified. The entire Zodiac Sphere Scroll stage would need to be reworked, because you can actually apply both speed stats to any weapon.

Be dismissive all you want, but nobody that has ever brought up this suggestion fully accounts for every change the game would need to make for it. The amount of work necessary to implement this change is not justified by whatever meager improvements it might make.

The only gear pieces that would be affected are Lv50 and below, namely Aetherial quality and Relic weapons - if I am generous, also the Lv60 Diadem stuff. Hardly a huge undertaking.

A very simple solution would be to add an exception to ignore the speedcap of that item's level by merging both stats and values - Eureka Weapons already exist and are able to hit individual substats close to 1000. I saw a 900+ crit Bow before - but just like that bow, having like double an item's theoretical maximum speed as a legacy stat has no bearing on clearing fights in the Lv50 bracket. If they care how someone has an unfair amount of speed at Lv50, that's on them.

Frankly, you guys paint it to be a way bigger issue than it actually is.
