Viper Hood shouldn't hide Miqo'te Ears

In the Viper showcase, the character race used to show off the new class Viper is none other than a male Miqo'te.
The hood he is wearing is leather, obviously light and is pretty loose fitting. It's not a thick or a heavy metal headpiece.

Where are his ears? It baffled me because here, SE is showing a new class, talking about a graphical update but they can't seem to show Miqo'te ears? We do have hats that have cut-outs for Miqo'te ears in game, so it is possible. I just don't believe there is a proper excuse.
Stop hiding Miqo'te ears, please! I hope when DT is out, the Viper hood is fixed to show Miqo'te Ears on the miqo'te race.

The people designing gear don't seem to know that some races have some non-human features.

Back during ARR & HW they still did design some gear around the different races, for Miqo'te they either had holes for ears on hats or actually designed additions on helmets to account for the ears.

Then they slowly just started adding pockets that barely matched the textures.

And then finally they just started hiding ears.

I agree I hope that they end up fixing this, it's really annoying. I probably would not use the hood myself because of this reason, but I'm also really picky when it comes to glamours. Hiding ears in hoods has always annoyed me when I am a miqo, and even in hoods for au ra the horns clip through it really badly, I'm not sure how you would really fix that though and at least you still see them somewhat, other than just completely chopping off the ears on miqo's with hoods, or hats.

Honestly, at this point it's more surprising when they release a hat that doesn't hide my ears. It's why I keep forcing myself into doing PvP even though I don't really care for it: the headgear for the series level 25 rewards actually have ear pockets.

this tbh, the ear being tailored in to hats is kinda dumb to me, when i put on a toboggan hat i have never had one with human shaped ear slots cut in to he side of it..

I dont get this, is this some weird furry clothing fantasy or something??

My ears are on the sides of my head and toques are made of flexible material so they don't really need to make ear slots as the hat forms around it. However, on headgear made of more solid material, such as baseball or motorcycle helmets, there is space for your ears so that you are comfortable wearing it. You just don't notice it on the outside because human ears don't stick out like a cat's do.

yes there is padding designed with your ears in mind inside the smooth rounded helmets without ear slots.
Your ears are still laid flat against your head, and contrary to your belief, human ears can and do stick out, and cats can lay their ears flat at will, just watch your cat next time they see a bird and go in to butt wiggle pounce mode.

The weight of most cloth hoods alone can lay a set of ears flat...
Not to mention if you make ear holes in a armored helm it just means your ear is getting ripped off the second something hits that helm hard enough to spin it.. for instance the padding in motorcycle and baseball helms, the padding in them is to hold them snug to your head and make it grip you, not to divide your head up and make edges and dividers that can hurt you inside them..

From a design standpoint its possibly the dumbest ideal you could make.. its the same fallacy as say molded chest armor for girls, go ahead and get one of those cavities caved in by a mace and tell me how you feel.
