They said healers aren't needed in full pulls, that includes their damage. Or their fairy, or any other passive heals or mitigation.
I think people on the forums gravely misunderstand that what they do does not apply to 99% of dungeon runs. Most people do dungeons in DF. You can't matchmake with 1 tank and 3 DPS. So the scenario in question means the healer does absolutely nothing while the tank and 2 DPS are doing it without them.
And just because something can be done, doesn't mean that the people saying it or thinking they can do it are capable of it. So many tanks are too afraid to even use their invuln because they think it's for emergencies only. I seriously doubt it's as common as you think.

I’m not saying it’s common I’m saying that not only is it possible it’s accessible to do if you have like minded people and it will actually speed your run upI think people on the forums gravely misunderstand that what they do does not apply to 99% of dungeon runs. You should not actively benefit from excluding a third of the trinity, your argument basically boils down to “healers are an enforced burden on the party by the DF system” which really isn’t a shining indication of 14’s trinity design
3 dps and a Warrior is actually optimal for dungeons.I think people on the forums gravely misunderstand that what they do does not apply to 99% of dungeon runs. Most people do dungeons in DF. I did read it all.
Warrior+3dps is optimal.
It doesn't really matter that there are some groups who don't play their jobs correctly.
The incoming damage in this game is very low, and Warrior+3 dps are more than enough to cover it all.
Idk about you but i hardly press any heals at all in my average roulettes.
And because the group has more damage, you'll also take a lot less of it too.

It could be argued that that is a failing of the dev team and the game as a whole not teaching players how to get ready for max level content (not end game or high-end content, like raiding and savages, but basics). If they're going to design gameplay around the lowest denominator of the playerbase, they really should try to teach that playerbase the basics. ┐(´∀`)┌
People are also capable of teaching themselves, starting with reading their tooltips. Trying things out and making mistakes is also an excellent way to learn. Not everything needs to be learned by having your hand held the whole way.It could be argued that that is a failing of the dev team and the game as a whole not teaching players how to get ready for max level content (not end game or high-end content, like raiding and savages, but basics). It would help if the community didn’t actively try to block anyone from learning anything
The mentor crown is useless not because there is bad mentors but because if you offer advice you are more likely to get white knighted by an unrelated player than the person you are offering advice to to actually take it
The community is partially responsible for why the players is so bad
