i did not expect dynamis to be this dead after almost 2 years of being open. is that due to dc travel?
i might actually have to transfer aether/prima/crystal if it doesn't get better in dawntrail.

the little detrimental things here that add up:
-frontlines doesn't pop
- market board is bad(you could make money because not much competition, but everything is overpriced) like seriously what noob is going to buy a 52 gathering top for 30k gil?
-eureka is dead and probably bozja too. even if i can spawn NM's myself i don't want to solo eureka
-i have a medium house but why does it matter if nobody comes to visit and leave a message? the wards are very dead. i'd rather make an apartment on a populated server.

The situation is this bad because we are facing an unprecedented content drought in the history of this game. As a result, all of the active players are now coalescing on the Aether data center while many veteran players are on a 9 month break.

This is very much expected and not really a surprise to many veterans. Once they add a true region wide finder system, populations should start to normalize. Until that is done or 7.0 release, expect this to only get worse.

Nah, even when there was content Dynamis was a dead DC, it had a short 2 month period where there was a party but as soon as people realized what a brand-new DC meant they either went back to Aether/Crystal or stayed to use the Road to 80 buff and just traveled to Aether/Crystal. We have one world on Dynamis that's even passable and it's Seraph, the other three are a laughingstock and on top of that they wanted to add four more.

Yes. The lucky bancho census has consistently shown that Dynamis has plenty of players to do content without issue. The problem is none of them stay on Dynamis so it appears dead. If DC travel were disabled Dynamis would probably lose some players in the short term but in the long term it would grow normally into a healthy DC.

I think it just depends, any of these worlds has their pros and cons, you just need to weigh out the ones that will suit you better and the ones that you think would not.

Aether is called the raiding server, which yes a lot of people do raid here, but honestly it can be really insufferable at times in party finder, you will find all sorts of trolls and such. I guess it could be like this anywhere, but I don't remember encountering so much of it before.

Housing is really hard on aether, so if you wanted to move for that, it'll still be as difficult as other places, or maybe even more harder.

But there are good perks to it too, honestly, it just all depends on why you would want to move to aether. But I would not say that it's any better than anywhere else you would want to play on, as everywhere has it's perks and it's cons.
