Ridiculous unreadable in-game fonts

Going through the Manderville quests, and it really annoys me that the font used in the splash screens are completely unreadable. Same thing with the in-game maps. Why in the world are you guys using a font that I'm betting most people can't read? Do you have any idea how frustrating that is? Please stop using that font and use something that's actually legible.

In before others give me a bad time trying to gaslight that it's perfectly fine to have text you can't read. It's not. It won't hurt you to have it be readable by everyone.

It's not a font, it's an alternate language... one that conveniently maps to English and has semi-English letters, but it's still intended as a non-Earth world's non-Earth writing. They could have used entirely abstract symbols for the same effect.

For me it just feels like a really natural thing for a fantasy or sci-fi setting to have its own alphabet, and it can be like a minigame in itself to decipher the text, map out the alphabet and maybe discover some fun Easter-egg bits of text the devs have put in.

Start by looking for obvious words – in this case (I can't remember what the splash screens look like) things like "Hildibrand", "Manderville" or the titles of quests; maybe an obvious "to be continued" at the end. Or long before that, you can read text on maps with the English translation directly on hand, or in-world text like directional signs where you can guess what it should say.
