    This could work, with a different gameplay, than what we have now. Currently there's no real need for tents or camps that restore your HP/MP, and when you do need them there's either an Aetherite close enough, or a potion in inventory and the regeneration rates while passive mode are ok. Not to mention most activities that are heavy on our HP/MP are instanced and limited to 30 minutes. I do like the premise, just can't see how it could be made useful. . . .

    Perhaps tents could offer something unique like temporary HP/MP bonuses (i.e. +30 HP/MP) which could stack over food bonuses. Could be a good strategy to form one right before entering any major battle.

    I kind of like the idea...

    There's a lot of ways it can go though. We have plenty of unused fireplaces in the game, perhaps tent items can transform those abandoned locations into functional temporary party camps for activities like party training (a way to start a Party Training quest or something?)

    There would have to be some limit of course on the use of this function, it wouldn't be usable in some areas due to congestion (perhaps too close to an Atheric gate or Atherite?) or have designated areas in which camps could be used.

    In any case, I really hope it also results in a graphic that displays when it's in use. Maybe even within the area there's a bonus to HP/MP regeneration or grants a swifter growing version of Rested XP bonus.

    Lots of ways to go with this, but I do believe it's a neat idea and would love to see some form of it implemented.

    Ok, I'm going to post my idea in here, because I think these two ideas can go really well with each other. So with the "tent" you can create camp fire or whatever.     I really think SE could take this idea and run with it. Especially with the example the OP pointed out.

    Make beautiful areas in these new zones for players to go visit and camp.

    nice idea Shell, but I also have an idea for it as well....
    What if the tent had a chest feature in it, so if you were gathering or crafting or whatever you may be doing, you can store items in the chest and proceed with your business. And along with the 3 hour pop up rate, you can store items and if your camp de-pops it will just hold everything you stored and you will not be able to obtain your items until you can pop the tent back up, 3 hours later or whatever.


    but it's just a thought, maybe it can make it more interesting

    Just have to make sure that extended-duration loot list isn't lost on DC and I'm sold. Nvm, that's dev work, not conceptual - sorry for even mentioning it.

    However, could we take it one step further and at a communal feature? For example, let's say my party (of 5?) each has a Disciple of the Hand class they're high in and a three or four others they're not as great in. We set out tools that the others could use directly out of the communal inventory, with a communal pile-up of lumber, ingots, gems, leather, and the like to be grabbed directly. Same for food, etc. What's given to communal will be retracted unless you tell it not to when you leave party, in which case it'll be retracted when the party disbands. Can additionally be taken back, manually, at any time when online.

    Possible secondary inventory storable to be withdrawable again when the tent is redeployed, as you said, but including the communal space. Probably only 25 to 50 items per individual.

    I still like the idea of being able to have consistent (automatically joined when logging back in) parties, and being able to return to that party's tent even if it's moved since you logged out, but I haven't really seen any other opinions on that point specifically.
