MOGPENDIUM WEEKLY "QUEST" PROBLEM

i make this post to help accomodating my friend who are free trial (they cant post in here somehow) and some of my friend that are sub player, having trouble to complete
this week MOGPENDIUM weekly quest.

in short, after weekly resest, the Mogpendium quest list decide to give them a normal raid that they cant access
(FT cant access it yet and the sub player havent reach shb yet)
which is eden raid.

i know this Mogpendium weekly quest is optional way to get mogtome,
but is it possible to make the upcoming Mogpendium weekly quest
tied to the content 'that player' can access by the time the quest being enrolled ?

so, we all can play and clear our weekly Mogpendium without being worry \o/

Likely won't be addressed by the devs. There are plenty of other ways to earn mogtomes than compendium weekly challenges. They can grind dungeons for mogtomes as early as level 35. GATEs in the Gold Saucer grant mogtomes and I think you just need level 15 and the city-specific MSQ to get there.

I too got assigned a quest that I have not unlocked yet on my character on the weekly. Since it is different for each character, it really should be chosen from only unlocked content.

Tbh... I think anyone asking for it to be limited to unlocked content is not fully thinking of the consequences. That'd just turn into everyone wanting the easy trial/dungeon (no raids because Coils won't be used), and then we just have another Alliance roulette situation that nobody likes.

Moogle Tomes are not a permanent thing though.

The thing is, Moogle Treasure Trove is a good chance to get items otherwise not easy to get. By nature it is most helpful for people who are new or at a low level. Of course one can just do the usual thing like in previous events and run Cutter's Cry until you breathe and sweat desert sand. xD But when there is a feature like the new Mogpendium, wouldn't it be better if the people profiting from that event the most wouldn't have the hardest time to get things? I don't know about you, but for me this Mogpendium on my alt on MSQ Level 50 is frustrating. That's 40 tomes I had no chance to get.

Sure, I highly doubt they'd change things now, but maybe they can take this feedback into account for the second part and Moogle Treasure Troves further in the future?

Wait wait. People want it tailor-made to their characters levels. This is a brand new mod to this event. Never tried before and ya whining cause you can't do specific content but have access to the same amount of tomes just putting in a little work?

How is the ability to participate or not in the weeklys "everything handed to ya"? I don't want the game to do the work for me, I would still have to run the duties just as everyone else. If anything, the only people who have "everything handed to ya" are the ones who have everything unlocked, spend 10 minutes in the Eden Raid and collect 20 tomes. If I'd want to do the same with the same goal, I'd have to play through 30 levels of MSQ and unlock this raid and then play it to whatever part the mogpendium wants from me. This is not exactly comparable to spending 10 minutes in a raid. Of course I can just run Cutter's Cry a lot or Praetorium just like in every other previous moogle tome event as well, have done it plenty of times in the last years. However, this takes a lot longer than a person who has stuff unlocked already and can just jump into it right away and collect 20 tomes for barely any effort every week. Is it the end of the world? Of course not. Does it prevent me from getting anything at all? Obviously not. Is it fair that some people have an advantage just because they have been around in this game for longer, especially when that's the same people who tend to have many of these rewards already? No, it is not.

I dont quite get the issue. It's not like the list of items you can get is overly difficult to obtain otherwise. In fact, it's pretty underwhelming and unless you grabbing the maps or the mgp things then no real reason to overly worry.

We also don't know if phase 1 tomes will go into phase 2 purchases.

You all think it's a easy fix. They would have to mess with coding and have it read each players content done and that might get way more problematic.

If you can't do the weekly when it's reset then maybe grind till you can. The point is to get further in the game...not have the devs hand you stuff
