Welp, the Xbox version is dead in the water. What were they thinking?

This bothers me. I lost my linked PSN account. Unfortunately, ticket after ticket won't let me recover it. I've made peace with that. Luckily, I also have an Xbox. Now I don't care. Good job messing that up. Now, two subscriptions are required to play on the Xbox unless you're on the Free Trial...

You really messed up on this one. I wouldn't be surprised if this is discontinued after a time.

I was there 3 years ago at fanfest (watching live obviously), when the other ceo walked out on stage and said "we will spare no expense to make ffxiv great" or something to that effect, and now ever since then, more and more terrible predatory things have been happening to this game. with this being the cherry on top of what- i fear. is a much deeper uncharted iceberg.. so no. im not spreading missinformation. im calling it as i saw/seen/see it

also accusing me of trolling, because you see (which i btw dont) some wierd issue with my grammar? (you know what grammar is right.. its how you phrase things not how you spell em) is just completly irrelivent to the entire topic

I mean they aren't wrong, Prior and as of this new CEO taking over XIV has become more predatory. The company has become more predatory lmao. Like we have FF7R, and them holding story behind gatcha games, XIV Putting way more content on the cash shop over just letting us earn it in game. The NFT and Crypto focus the CEO himself has. Not to mention SE losing 2 billion. So while it's not solely FFXIV, SE isn't doing great and charging us more money as a result.

main thing i notice is more and more "throw away" games and less "gems" now i actually like KH and FF7r, i appreciate its an untitled sequel and as such i expect nothing like the original. as for kh i am hopefuly 4 will be better than 3 even tho 3 wasnt even that bad just really confusing. but latley i see them put out more of these mobile games for quick easy cash and its just such a waste, reminds me of disney actually

It's still conjecture in regards to 14. To be fair, 14 has always had tons of cash shop items and fomo, etc. At least to me, nothing has changed on that end.

But back on topic, we were told one thing, and we got another one is about the only solid thing we know, and even then, it could be false. Or the noise between now and whenever the official Xbox version might change it to being free. And that we do have evidence of back when Microsoft tried to hike the rate of Xbox Live. The community said absolutely not loud enough, and Microsoft caved and didn't raise the price. They might've later. I honestly don't care about Microsoft outside of Windows on my PC, but still. Now is the time. Speak with your wallet and shout from the rooftops. Otherwise, pay up. And when they get away with PSN, they will follow as they did with the original Xbox Live.

FFXIV's xbox playerbase will literally be such a tiny tiny minority of people it doesnt even matter, if you think they care you are so wrong, nor are you going to get a "massive uproar" considering it'll make like 0.5% of the game population if even that much. You can speak with your wallet all you want, it wont change the outcome, it's the way it's going to be.

no, thats conjecture. because youre speaking as if your personal experience is THE experience, and anybody saying otherwise is wrong because you dont notice it. and you dont allow people to come in with examples either you just dismiss it and block. and you did so assuming i was refering to cashshop and the fomo, which isnt even the case or full extent of the issue!

You realize that because you didn't notice the changes, that means they did a good enough job of hiding them right? Like SE is most likely getting paid more money if they are gonna charge ya'll more money, thats how these deals work lmfao.
