Most elitists in my servers are nice people if you doesnt play like a monkey and gear like a retard, people are always happy when you help the team win.
This I can agree to. While I do not condone elitist behavior, I get more mad dieing from people's incompetence than whatever asshole thing another player is saying.

I like speed run if it's not a requirement, i.e.: Yaay, we did it in 15 minutes! (Just so we know how well we are doing).

But it should not affect outcome.

This makes it so we are mindless drones having to repeat the exact same clicks in a pre-determined fashion to get to the end in time.

I've reached a point where 'all' I need is only obtainable via speed run. No real incentive to go with friends or pick-up-groups or new people now, other than to teach them or have some general fun. Knowing full well I will get nothing from the chests because it will not be under a certain time limit.
Speed runs are pretty much one of the largest reasons that class stacking exists. While not saying class stacking wouldn't exist anyways, the speed run method pretty much promotes what SE is trying to fix. Its like trying to fix something by simply beating it with a hammer, all you are doing is making it worse. I think speed run challenges are just artificial difficulty and should only be an achievement, not an actually requirement. People can disagree with me all they want, but that is what I believe.

All in all, to me it separates the people that play >2345892348 a week from the people that only play <15 hours a week. Speed runs aren't even hard, they are THE most boring thing in the game.

The fight for United We Stand. THAT was fun. There was no speed run in it, you just need to complete it.
I wish I was in fights in dungeons that didn't have me worry over the clock, wishful thinking right now though.
