If their views prevent them from doing something like that which is considered "taboo" then don't try to force it on them just because you feel it's right if they did and let them have their say.

If it's such a problem that people have to shove their views down a company's throat even though there are obstacles hindering the company from implementing such a thing, then the idea of player hosted marriages is better, just let SE provide the wedding dresses and tuxes and the community does the rest, because SE is damned if they do and damned if they don't. Unless they make same sex marriages exclusive to just the NA region.

But it shouldn't stop us from asking them to try to put it in though or should we just sit back. They're a business and in a business they want to please their customers or do their best to please us. I posted that link just so people would have the facts on what is going on with back up resources for it all. Nothing more nothing less. I still would like to see same sex marriage in the game but if we get told no that's not going to happen then we can try to petition it if petition fails then we have to accept it. It's not going to make me stop playing the game and it sure as all hell isn't going to stop me from playing games created by SE.

If a company says "No" the first time, then don't try to pester them into doing it, let SE have their views and accept them the moment they say "no" And if people have a problem with the word "No" and leave, then they're not as tolerant of a company's views as they would want someone else to be tolerant of theirs.

Trying to harass a company to implement same sex marriage is no different than a straight man harassing a homosexual to be hetero because of his views. If you don't like it, then what makes you think it's okay for you to do the same exact thing to a company with totally different views than your own?

Square Enix might be a "business" but government has power over what those businesses can and can't do, and in the end SE can't please everyone. Live and let live.

I have a question for you do you know or have ever worked in customer service? Second of all Do you think this game would still be around if SE just said NO we're not fixing anything in this game. If you don't like it leave? No they didn't they listened to us took what we said into consideration and made the changes that they could and even more. They have gone above and beyond what any company I have ever done customer support for would have. Free "beta" just until the beginning of this year, the legacy program. They're goal is to make us happy and make us stay with the game so they can get paid. That's what they are in for. I know this because I have to "kiss ass" to every customer I take when they call up complaining about something. I really wish sometimes I could just tell them to go f themselves but the company I work for believes in customer loyalty and that has what has kept the company going since the early 70's. And also yes we still get people who don't like our answers even when we try to placate them and they go above our heads so on and so forth.

In Japanese popular culture, LGBT men were often considered bishōnen, which translates as "beautiful boys." This was also tied to the success in Japan of comic books and animation with open and subtle LGBT characters. A select genre of adult pornographic Japanese games exist called H-games. This genre includes gay male and gay female subgenres.

There is a difference between "Fixing" and "Implementing" something against your beliefs because others "Demand" it.
You can say "No" and still find a way to make people happy. What is a few people lost to the millions that may come in to the game because SE said "No" to a few?

You act as though SE "OWES" you this, they don't. Again, you're going by the "America is almost accepting of this so Japan should do the same." You just can't go and try to force a company to do what YOU want because you live in a place accepting of it. Why do you think it's okay to force SE to do something YOU want but hate it when it happens to you?
What makes you think that's okay?

Uhmmmm no that's not my stand point at all. I'm speaking as someone who works in customer service and knows how a business thinks and acts. Again I said we can TRY to do a petition on it. There is nothing wrong with that and if they still refuse then like I we'll have to accept it. It's not harassing a company with asking to see something which from all the posts the majority want to see. There is no harm in a petition there is no harm in asking.

Nor did I say that SE owes us anything as a matter of fact I've stated they've gone above and beyond what any company would have done in their case.

I think if SE "owes" us anything it's equality. We should all be treated equally, no special favour given to some over others.
If they can't be fair and treat us all the same then there shouldn't be marriage in game.

But honestly, SE has been very fair with us so far, so I'm not worried about this.
