Eternal Bond Anniversary question

Hi, I’ve asked this question to anyone who might know, in and out of game, but can’t get a definitive answer.

Basically, I was wondering if you still get the anniversary quest if you still have your ring but your partner doesn’t? I don’t remember getting the in game notification, but I did see that I had the quest when I was in East Shroud for a ceremony. I didn’t think I would have since I was sure the person who I bonded with had gotten rid of theirs, so I was surprised to see it there.

But would I see the quest regardless whether they have it or not, just unable to start it if the other ring doesn’t exist? TIA!

You can only get rid of the ring if you annul the bond so if the other person doesn't have the ring then they won't be able to complete the quest with you.
