Re-Install configuration files

I just reinstalled FFXIV, and would like to get my old configuration back. Things like hotbars etc. I know there are some configuration files on my system that have this information, I just don't remember where they are stored. I have access to my old install, and would like to copy the configuration from there. Can I, and should I do this, and what files should I copy?

In regards to your concern, this issue would be general gameplay hints & tips. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any official support for such concerns and advise that you check various resources such as web sites, video guides and asking fellow players within the game and forums here to see if they may have information to share. If you feel this is a bug, you are welcome to submit a bug report in the appropriate forum section.

Please note however, in general all in-game configurations for FINAL FANTASY XIV are saved locally in the folder 'FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn' which may be located under 'This PC > Documents > My Games' or 'OneDrive > Documents > My Games'. These files are not saved via the launcher unless you use the 'Backup Tool' via the settings.

For future reference, from the launcher you can create a backup, and then when you re-install you can use the same tool from the launcher to restore those settings.
