    The command doesn't seem to be working? AmI doing something wrong or is this not allowd?

    You cannot /petglamour one Egi into another Egi. The help file for /petglamour (/? petglamour) lists the Egis as acceptable glamours; however, they can only be used to replace Carbuncle (plain only). The system will allow you to replace Egis only with Carbuncles (plain or colored).
