Tomestone Event: Minimog objectives should be dailies and not weeklies

I just did mine. I beat Fufalupa in Triple Triad, all it took was 30 seconds and I was rewarded 3 tomestones? For the whole week? For me, the Minimog objectives are all pretty easy and spammable to do. All are open world content, which is a plus (excluding treasure hunts, you can do them while waiting for duties) and it would be really nice to farm tomes and gemstones/hunts/cards/gold/mgp at the same time. They should be dailies in my opinion, or at least not a one time thing, they could be like do 10 Fates for 30 tomes a week or something.

    It is.

Not sure what's going on with OP, I assume they've finally lost their mind.

If it was daily instead of weekly they would probably also give you a fraction of the tomestones per task.

OP is wrong on the amount but the core point doesn't change a whole lot imo. Whether it's 3 tomes or 10, the fact that something doable in a really short period of time is delegated to weekly content is a little weird. Perhaps there could have been another category for daily content that gave a bit more than the spammable stuff but a bit less than the weekly stuff, idk. It's all moot to me; the prizes are mid anyway imo. Good implementation with the new mog book, but kinda meh rewards and meh content rollout (crystal tower, are you kidding me?). The best thing to come out of it is that now I can drag people into eden umbra and watch them get blown off the arena.

It's 10, not 3, sorry about the confusion. But my point still stands.

Because its not about being long or difficult to do over the week, its about rewarding you with extra ten tomes (in addition to tomes from regular repeatable objectives) for doing something specific and, normally, different from your normal spam grind.

I regret going for the Triple Triad... should have gone for Fate since at least I'd get some bicolor gemstones

First I'd like to say I like the Mogpendium concept and encourage this one moving forward.

Second, a daily category would be neat ! I would personally like to see the daily category have like 3 or 4 reward opportunities, but each opportunity is split into 2 or 3 different tasks. Like how we had FATE or Triple Triad.

Third, I think I'd like to see the weekly take a little bit more time but reward more.

So you get something like 3 to 4 dailies that give you gentle boosts (these are actually smaller numbers), with many options, very very complete-able, then a few weeklies that take a little bit more time (like instead of 1 triple triad it's like 15-25, with wins counting as 2), these weekly also may overlap here and there with a daily, and then the Ultimogs.

    Some asides:

I'd like to see the day the mog event ends, within the UI itself, perhaps in countdown format. Less needed but an in game reward list that can also be sorted by unique obtained / not would be neat (and a total at the bottom when sorting by unobtained). Even less important but perhaps a few more consumable / sinks (like MGP / maps, I made a post on more modification to content ideas but just in general concepts are fine too).

One thing that might be semi-interesting and help extend value, is perhaps a community element. Like each server has a goal, by obtaining tomes on that server you help towards that goal, particularly by achieving the mog tasks there is extra value (or some social specific activities). Each server in the cluster unlocks something for the whole cluster. Cross server features work, so players are encouraged to help out smaller servers. There will be modifications and 'steps' added for smaller clusters, so each server on a smaller cluster may have many 'steps' that leads to multiple items to provide while a busier cluster would have 1 per server (as they have more servers in a cluster, same total items in the end). If that goes well can add phases once all servers hit a rank together, so players are encouraged to come back after getting the first wave of items (no grinding 10 hours the first day and thinking "whelp done till patch day"). Items will be listed so people who want to plan their tomestones can do so (so they don't feel SoL later because they didn't know about a cool item that will unlock).

Top 100 players in each server get the ability to change into primal-like mog for the following month (costume, not consumable- expires though), top 500 can transform into normal mogs (costume, not consumable- expires though). If we were going crazy on the roleplay, allow the big mogs to cast assemble and the little mogs can respond in kind, granting all players (including non-mogs) a long lasting movement speed and exp buff (that doesn't get removed on death / instance, though the movement wont impact instances). Costumes can fly in flying zones (does not fight, therefore might exhibit mount like properties except works in towns and doesn't grant insane movement in towns). Moghome moogles will be celebrating and you can get an NPC version of the buff if you're determined.
