Making Clouds Hair a Contest item was a mistake

This is an ICONIC hairstyle that should have been available to the masses. I don't know why they keep doing this. First with the hair, and then again with the Ronkan umbrella.

I think at the very least they should make a second variation of Clouds hairstyle, and make that available for all players. You shouldn't have to win a contest to get the hairstyle. It's just insulting to Final Fantasy fans who may want the hair of their hero.

I'm not really invested in this sort of stuff, but even with a sort of sloth view on the subject I think that's not a great idea... If I had wanted that hair, as it is certainly a classic, I would feel very crestfallen at that point.

At the very least mog shop (and heck the contest winner could pick a mog shop item, that's fine). Personally I think they should associate the games to their items. Buy FFVII Rebrith for X Y Z, etc, etc. Get people investing in their other games and getting related rewards back into FFXIV. Moves sRPG players into the MMO, moves MMO into the sRPG, and it makes the fans who were going to gobble it up get a win win. Any cross over events 100% chance repeat on the release date of the game (after release of the content).

Just participate in the contests. Or whatever, maybe it should be on mogstation, or achievement point shop since Cloud's getup it veteran reward.

I have Cloud hair on 2 of my characters, + the screenie I took won my friend the serpent of ronka parasol.
Gonna try for Gaelicap next when the alright opportunity rises.

Pity the rl promotions are such a pain. Would love to get the grey cloud mount, dont really like the yellow one.

You want so bad to look like an already existing character, when you look so cool as you are now. Everyone and their grandmother running around with Cloud's hair would diminish its iconic status. It's why I can't take Igeyorhm seriously.

You know what I do with this kind of BS? (Don't care if I offend people and get banned, perhaps it will actually be a blessing) I fucking mod it, in fact, all my characters are modded, because this game character creator is disappointing beyond measure.
