    IDEA: In-Party Level-Sync for Eureka

    Context:
Over my three years of playing this game, I have heard some complaints from fellow FC members and the general population of FFXIV about the overall experience with progressing in Eureka.

One of the major problems that contribute to the gripes of players in these zones is, what I will dub, the Leveling Problem. I think a lot of players have finished Eureka and are max-leveled for these zones. For example, my incentive to go back to help new players is minimal since being in a party with new players does not help the new players, as it hinders the amount of experience they get. Just being there to heal outside a party is not an appealing idea either.

The other problem is that the content heavily incentivizes the player to party up rather than play solo. Soloing Eureka is painful, but I know that's what the development team was going for. Given the context of Eureka's creation, which was to replicate the experience of how old MMOs used to play and taking heavy inspiration from FFXI, I believe a new feature for Eureka needs to be introduced that still maintains the spirit and vision of what Eureka sets out to be. This idea will still keep Eureka's strength of its reliance on the grouping and community aspect of its content while also having to rely on other people in order to accomplish something.

    Concerns:
So why am I making a big deal out of this? Well, I would like Eureka to still be alive in the years to come, outside of the aspect of getting relics. Eureka is becoming old content and, with the likely chance that we are going to get more content like Eureka and Bozja in the coming expansions, I would still like new players to be able to get into Eureka without having to wait for other players who would also like to do this content or go through a grueling experience soloing this content and remember it not so fondly.

    The IDEA:
Please implement a party-level sync for Eureka. Basically, the idea is to be able to form a party of players, then the party leader can level-sync all party members to the lowest party member's level.

    The Possible Problems:
One of the problems that sticks in my mind that can be a software dev's nightmare is to find a way to implement this feature without causing problems with FATEs or NMs that also have a level-sync feature. I can imagine two level-syncs at play could cause some problems, especially since we don't know how the game's code is structured/built or if the game engine would even play nicely with a feature like this. I'd imagine some form of container or inheritance would solve this issue, but we simply don't know.

I like this idea, something like this would be very helpful. It's quite cumbersome trying to help level friends. Though I've noticed people greeding NM’S to level sync on my DC and not letting people fight the NM, which is frustrating to say the least.

FFXI actually implemented this to help the leveling experience.

I've been confused for some time why they implemented eureka without this. What with ffxi having almost exactly what you describe since 2008 and eureka ostensibly being xi nostalgia fodder. It solves some of the longevity concerns of the content at no real detriment to anything else.
