    Advice on getting better gear

Hi folks, I keep dying on the last mission for the class quest GunBreaker "Steel against Steel" and I'm pretty sure it's because my gear is under level.

I'm currently using the full Augmented Shire set you can buy from the Sundry Splendors but I dont think it's enough at gear lvl 267. I'm using each spell available, watched other people easily pass it using other gear, but I cannot take a hit for the life of me.

Any recommendations on how to get higher lvl gear? Currently all I'm seeing is to use the Duty Finder to spam the Duty Roulette on the 50/70/80 dungeons but that's it.

Fastest way; but it will cost gil
    Buy Gear on the Markedboard.
(highest ilvl you can get for your lvl)

You have a few options here.
    1. That ilvl is enough for the fight. Take this opportunity to figure out how you can beat the fight and have a fun challenge. Read your skills and try to do your rotation right etc.
    2. Buy better gear from vendors/marketboard or grind some poetics from roulettes and buy the blue lvl 70 gear.
    3. Run some 63-70 dungeons for gear
    4. Do the main story far enough to get better gear as quest rewards

That's a level 70 quest. Best (easily available) gear for level 70 is Augmented Scaevan Gear (ilvl 400) which can be bought with Poetics in Rhalgr's Reach. You do need to have done the MSQ far enough before the vendor will unlock though.
Or you can spend gil on the marketboard to buy crafted i385 gear for level 70.

There's also the level 70 gear you can purchase with Centurio Seals in Rhalgr's Reach and Kugane. The quest was designed for players using the 310 gear set (the other set is 340 but costs more Seals).

This is probably the best cheap option to take.

Another possibility is that if you have Silver Chocobo Feather tokens (given as a special incentive for starting on or transferring to a low-population server) you can potentially spend these now to get level strong 70 gear. However, if you are struggling with this fight then you may also struggle with the fight at the end of the level 80 tank role quest, and unless you have a different role job as well, it is necessary to complete a role quest before you can finish Shadowbringers MSQ and access the tome vendors. So I would save the feathers to buy armour for that.

I am fairly sure that the job quest fights are designed for players who don't have any access to level 70 gear yet, given that (with the exception of the jobs added in Shadowbringers) you receive your i290 job gear for completing it, only a tiny step up from the i288 gear in the level 69 dungeon.
