Look OP, I don't know you. We don't know you. The GMs don't know you. None of us are going to get to know you for the sake of redemption. And when a GM is involved, they should never know you. Conflict of interest is removed from this case and so is any means of the emotional tactics you use here ("it means so much to me!"/"it's personal"/"I'm not a bad person"). It's apparent from the ingame friends coming to defend you that they themselves can't remain impartial. Imagine if the judge in a court case was your best friend.

Let's be real, yeah? A large part of your defense as to why you should keep the name is plain emotional tactics along with the whole "they do it, so i can do it aka "Two wrongs make a right". Wrong. Ignorance does not excuse you from consequences, such as this case. Alas, I'm not convinced that you should keep your name and on the topic of anyone with the word in question in their name, I'd never be convinced.

Fact is, a large majority of the playerbase are somewhat in tune to anime culture and know what the terms means. The gods know why you would even bring this to a public forum sigh because now you've definitely put the spotlight on you and you alone. Change your name or follow through as you say and quit the game.
