Did you change the name as requested, if so, did you logout and make a new character with the old name to save it, as you can then rename your main back to it at a later time.

Unless they add that word to the reserved list, then you can still use it, and I typed it in just to check, and it is available to set as a last and even first name.

Unfortunately, you won't get any official response or assistance on this forum.

I could do that... Thanks for taking a look at it and confirming. I just feel like having to pay 7€ because someone felt it was fun to report me for nothing, taking into account that I'm not doing economically too well and paying the subscription is all I can afford as "extra expenses" every month... It sucks.

If it were me, I would contact the in-game support and request the actions of the GM be reviewed by the Senior/Lead.

Loli is not a dictionary word for example, in any language, that I could find anyway, but just for fun I found a local Cafe in New Zealand called, Loli.

Also, Loli is used as a last name by over 12,000 players, so I would point this out to support and ask why the GM felt the need to single only you out, it seems obvious they have used over-reach.

The fact that someone reported you unfairly to begin with should work in your favor.

I saw a Fartbutt Fourtwenty yesterday. I might consider that less appropriate than Sensei Loli, but there you go. I've seen plenty of names over the years that make me wonder if there is any sort of moderation on my DC. I'm actually surprised I haven't ran across an Amanda Huginkiss or Oliver Clothesoff yet.

For the record, I'm not offended by anyone's name, nor would I ever report someone about it. I think some people need to lighten up a bit.

SE won't investigate or do anything about an inappropriate name unless someone firsts report it to them. So some people can go around for years with "bad" names simply because nobody has cared enough to report them.

Your account in now flagged, if you go back to that name and get reported again it will likely resort in a ban.

You weren't singled out by a GM, you were simply the one someone reported and a GM responded. That's how that works, reports result in action.

I'm posting this here as trying to communicate through tickets only resulted in generic copy-pasted answers, which makes me feel like no one is really reading through what I'm trying to prove.

They are reading through it. Yes, they have generic answers, but if they feel those answers need modifying, they do modify them as needed.

If you worked in Customer Support and were answering the same sort of questions day in, day out, you would probably get used to writing almost the same exact thing every day to the point you just turn it into a template and optimize it over time.

It is those templates that they are using, but they really are not afraid to alter them if it's needed. It's just not usually needed and I'm sorry to say, probably wasn't in your case.

Again, if they wrote a personal response to everyone it would just be almost verbatim what they wrote a few times earlier in the same day or same week, except take them longer to write. There's just no point in not having templates.

Which means nobody reported your name for a few years. They don't act without reports, so it wasn't that it was allowed, it was that nobody reported you for years so you didn't get caught.

I've seen plenty of people using both of my names as part of their names.

Maybe they didn't get reported or maybe the names in isolation aren't a problem.

In any case, there is a way to appeal and have it reviewed. If that didn't work then just got to use a different name.

As others have said, you were reported while the others weren't. There's a possibility that they too are breaking the ToS but the GMs don't take action unless it's reported. You can apply this to other things like talking about parses in chat or even Balmung's Shout chat in Ul Dah. I've seen people get GM jailed for the same way they do in Balmung but in other places. The GM responsible for reading the report also plays a large role. What might not bother one could bother another. Not all GMs enforce the rules as heavily iron-fisted either. It bothered someone enough to report you, and it bothered a GM enough to take action on you. Do I agree with the circumstances? I do not. But this game works very well on a sensitivity system and someone found your name insensitive.
