Can we NG+ Festival quests?

Can we please get the questlines (and post-quest optional cutscenes) from previous festivals as either NG+ or accessible through a festival NPC?

This would benefit both sprouts and veterans. I've played since ARR's launch, but I have definitely missed a few festivals over the years. Plus, the questlines being one and done, never to be seen again if you weren't there, seems a bit of a waste. Its one of the few instances of FOMO in this game and with the NG+ system, it really doesn't have to be.

I'm thinking perhaps use the NG+ to stick us in a state of "2019 Velentione's Day" or "2015 Starlight" or w/e. And we'd be able to do the questline, but nothing else, like how NG+ works now. And we'd also be able to see the post-quest stuff. Like instances where you pick an NPC to talk to and get a short scene with them.

I know there are a few questlines that required a special FATE or group event to be completed, but I'd think those quests could be altered to just give you the tokens the group event would result in as a quest item upon Quest Acceptance, and then you can then immediately turn that quest item in to complete?

I wouldn't expect the festival rewards to be available. It'd be cool, but getting actual inventory items(or gil) in NG+ mode seems to not be a thing that can happen for technical reasons. Also, I don't expect them to put things back in-game that they've decided to put in the cash shop b/c business.

I support this, this could allow for more complex story telling year to year. Or even help us if we forgot who the characters are in the first place. They could even make the new game plus story only available when the season is up to keep it special...

The only real problem would be seasonal fates... they all tend to take place at the same spots and would overlap, unless they somehow change fates so they don't appear unless you are at a certain point in a quest and only appear to those players and not globally, or instances. Not sure what would be better /simpler programming.

I agree the FATEs could be an issue, but the point of the FATEs is usually to achieve a certain amount of a token. I'd think they could either change the quest advancement so it doesn't need that step and can immediately be turned in once accepted. Or they can make it so you can talk to the npc or a vendor or something to get the required tokens and then you can turn in. Either way, add a note to the quest when you accept it, explaining how to complete.

I do want to see cutscenes from previous festivals I never got to attend, most right now is viewable on youtube (not sure if every single one is on there though).

yes please. i would love this. some of rhe quests are pretty nice. and all the interactions with the many npcs we know. absolutely want that.
