There's actually no problem, op and people agreeing with this would rather see the game absolutely barren instead of seeing people being afk, it's just the last thing to complain about I guess

And the AFK timer itself ultimately serves no purpose if dancers just shrug it off. An actual "active" player is not at risk of being logged out, after all.

The AFK timer isn't currently active. They only turn it on during extreme congestion e.g. expansion launches. Also, a looping emote doesn't save you from the timer if it's on, crafting used to prevent the AFK timer but that was patched.

That is the issue apparently. Reminds me of the guy who made a similar thread wanting everyone who's afk kicked because no one in Limsa would have a random conversation with him.
