    Legacy Status Not Appearing/No Legacy Email Yet? Are You In The Same Situation?

    Hey everyone,

    I'm a returning player from the original FFXIV collector's edition start date. I played for a couple months on and off, left, and came back with the Welcome Back Campaign. I resubscribed May 24th, and in June I changed my payment plan over to the 90 day payment option.

    However... I still haven't received an email regarding my Legacy status, the icon isn't beside my FFXIV account's options list, and when I go to log in there's no icon at the top left corner of the character selection screen.

    Is it just taking a while, or..? I'm not urgent on this or anything, just want to at least confirm that either others who fell under the "rules" of Legacy still haven't received word so that maybe I'm in the same boat, or... that there's confirmation from SE that it can take a while. It's just that I've heard that as soon as you've actually paid for the three consecutive months (which I would have, given I subscribed to the 90 day option), you apparently receive word pretty quickly?

    Complete guess: Perhaps you have to wait until the 90 days have actually passed?

    Possible! I guessed that as a possibility as well... Which is sort of why I wanted to see if maybe others were having the same issue. If they weren't, the earlier I can rectify this, the better, as opposed to waiting until it's too late for SE to possibly change things for me.

    On the other hand, with people saying that you just have to pay for the consecutive 90 days... I wasn't so sure.

    Did you actually pay for the 90 day option? From what I've heard, it should give you Legacy a few days after you pay, so you shouldn't have to wait out the full 90 days in order to get it.

    I started playing again on May 19, 2012, and got "Legacy Status" just this morning when my automatic payment went through. This is my 3rd payment (3rd month), so even though I've only had this game (re)active for just a day less than 2 months, I have legacy status.

    I would wait, and hopefully soon it'll show up!

    I was going to follow the waiting advice, and was, until I went to log in today and it showed my character as inactive...
    I had the worst pit in my stomach upon viewing that. Checked my email and it seems I was sent the automated message explaining there was a "processing error with your payment method". My credit card hasn't changed, I have more than enough money available for FFXIV in my account, and I'm currently subscribed to the 90 day payment policy that shouldn't have run out by now... If this messes with my ability to obtain Legacy... ugh.

    I would reactivate my character, but in doing so it will revert my subscription method to 30 days, which I'm worried will abolish my chances at Legacy as well. Looks like I'll be calling customer support in the morning...

    Also, to specify, no. Upon checking my bank account, they hadn't actually charged me for the full 90 day yet... they were supposed to today, but suddenly SE has decided there's now "issues" with my payment method..?

    Alright! So, I gave support a ring just for the heck of it the next day, after conceding to the risk of the 30-day plan and resubscribing on the same day I was cancelled. I wanted to make sure that that even a brief gap wouldn't affect my eligibility for Legacy.

    The thing is... I knew that the Lodestone said that to be eligible for Legacy, you had to have a cumulative amount of 90 days subscribed before the Beta, not consecutive.

    What threw me off was the additional information regarding the 90-day payment saying that if you were someone who had played before January, 2012, it was necessary to subscribe to the 90-day payment before the end of June to qualify. I derped and overlooked that this wording was intended for those who had not played at all since January/the welcome back campaign. It was basically their last opportunity to subscribe and qualify. For someone like me, who came back in March or so, I was already alright as I had already played at least two months.

    The reason the 90 day didn't go through is because my 30 day payment option - from before having changed over to the 90 day - was still in effect. Just because I swapped over to 90 day didn't mean it would stick, considering (as a few people had mentioned here, and as I mentioned earlier, too...) I hadn't actually paid for it, and couldn't, as the 30 day was still being used up.

    Anyways, I'm mainly here to confirm what support helped me confirm: all of what I've said so far, and the fact that it's definitely a cumulative 90 days, not consecutive. If you've played 30 here, 60 there, or even 30 here there and there, as long as it's before the beta, you should qualify eventually, as long as you have paid for those days.

    The Legacy icon appeared a day later on my account, and I received my email a few days after that!

    Sorry for the goose chase, but thanks for the attempted assistance, everyone.
