Even if I have most of, if not all, the rewards Id want; I'm still gonna farm it for the mgp tokens. There are several gold saucer mounts I dont have and its an easy way to build towards them

So just like the other Mogtome events, then? To me, these events always seemed to be something to push more older rewards/rewards from sidecontent to the front, to make newer players aware of them.
As stated in the lodestone post, this is a two-part event, the second part will have different rewards. It's also why this first part has an end date, rather than the common "ends with the release of the next major patch".
I like the attempt to add alternate options and the UI itself. Found this thread because I wanted to say I liked the UI they made lol. Unfortunate it was unhappy but, w.e its a thread to post in on the topic.
As for items, they look okay but certainly other events have enticed me more. The saucer token and maps are a good deal. Maybe they could add boosters in future ones, like:
- Epicest Epic Echo - Enhances Epic Echo with max echo at start (if not already), and if alone double defense (or perhaps a respectable X% damage reduction, to be more consistent between tanks and non-tanks).
- Tribal Patron - Syncs the tribe quest (should consider this by default though). Triples next beast tribe reputation, double reward (cannot be used on an expansion released after the event)
- Pull the Leve - Leve costs 25x, grants 10x reward
- Liquid Renown - 25% PvP rank* booster decent duration *(not the bronze, silver, stuff, the one that has a rewards track)
- Wicked Fate - 2x shared FATE rank and 1.5x bicolor for X FATEs (10?). When few or no one is around recovery (healing spells and abilities) are 30% more effective and you deal 2% max hp damage.
- Intense Elemental Metorite - Grants substantial exp and elemental bonus (in Eureka), easier admission into the final space
- Judge's Writ - Greatly increases ranking and consumable effects (including Bozja specific stuff), easier admission into the dungeons
- Grand Adventure, the Spark Notes - used to replace an ARR relic book step (fill in this idea for other potential relic hurdles) like:
- Dwarf Light of Aleineleidelieleeel - douse a relic in it to gain substantial light
- Snapped Collection of Glittering Rainbow Stones - Each one takes the place of an Atma shard (wild card stones)
- Escalating Phoenix Down - (Deep Dungeon) Allows you to continue at the rounded down 15 levels from where you died, yet continue to potentially earn the achievement (make the new default 50)
Naturally price and quantity you can hold would change based on type, perhaps even going into the quest item space so you can't trick the game (for something particularly OP).
While these events are practically the only valuable thing BLU, limited jobs, get- I personally hope they can use these weekly and such challenge logs to encourage playing normally. I'd rather play a real job than a limited job I'll pull out of the dusty closet to cheese stuff, get a strong FOMO vibe (which I hate) if I don't join in earlier, and then stuff it back in for the next torrential tomestone day.

Yeah I think it's basically the riding maps that are the only thing missing. The 100 tome item isn't a new item but it's still a moogle-exclusive item like the 100 tome item always is.Seems pretty on-par to me. An animal-themed accessory only a handful of players will care about and fewer will actually ever notice. A selection of extreme trial mounts, a particular set of armor, and a selection of TT cards, orchestrions, minions, and mounts of middling desirability.
Can anyone complaining about rewards actually point to any previous (non-anniversary) event that somehow was more impressive? Keeping in mind this is explicitly part 1 of 2 for this run, wherein more rewards will be released later. Are you all really that upset over not having ARR riding maps this time?
Twilight Over Thanalan is rather nice. That's still a pricey song and not that easy to get.
Glad to see the maps and MGP. That's normally what I end up focusing my tomes on since I usually have most of the things.
I think a big thing here is the lack of Gwibers compared to the Kamuys back in the ShB mogtome events. I also think the unique accessories wouldn't be handwaved so much if they could be put in the Armoire.
I wasn't even aware of a Mog tome event until I saw this thread. All these prizes are extremely cheap to buy and not worth the tome grind. Nearly almost lasts 3 months. Do they really think this will keep people playing during the long content drought is surprising. Then again doesn't surprise me with how EW reward structure has been with content. Whoever is behind this needs a revaluation on time spent equals meaningful rewards. I'm happy to hand them a list of better rewards free of charge.
but they left out poor ninIt's because the melee gear from that series was a fan design contest winner.
Putting the tops from all seven variations is exactly what they've been doing in previous treasure trove events with the other contest winners – Lost Allagan (tank), Bonewicca (caster), Skallic (healer) and Neo-Ishgardian (ranged). The in-game source of the items is irrelevant.![]()
The second event's prize pool has been datamined and includes the rest of the Late Allagan tops. (Scouting, aiming and the mages, IIRC.)
Annoyingly I only want the tank gear from this round (and only for a couple of my characters) while I'll be wanting two or three from the second round and on more characters.
It would be nice if one of the mage jackets was in this round so they have one of each design in each event.
Event sure is uninspiring all there is on it I don't have is one card. Why don't they add all of SHB mounts and all of the Late Allagan whole gear sets.
