I doubt RW will ever experience an influx of players. The complexity creates a massive barrier to entry.

Create an actual ladder through match-making. Gives players who care something to climb.I'm not inclined to agree with any "reward reduction" because it always sounds like "punishment" in disguise, or how people always assume it'll mean only the bestest players evar are going to show up and play (and likely carry them), while forgetting to remember where that leaves the majority of mid-tier players.
One doesn't climb higher on the ladder by kicking off the lowest rungs, *you are* the new lowest rung.

they dont want to make it competitive. The pve kids adn rpers freak out if anything is ever done to update pvp. They lose their mind and tell us, who like pvp, who pay for a sub, to play something else.Everything okay over there, Square Enix? or CBU3 if that's what you want to call yourselves?
New shatter changes are confusing. What was the reasoning behind it?
I'm still surprised after so many years how no one in the office seems to know what to do with PvP in this game. Is there a wheel of fortune spun every update? I actually didn't mind shatter from before 6.55. Sure it was a little wonky at times, but players figured it out eventually and the way the map was designed there were plenty of avenues for counterplay when facing deathball groups. Now we have a pvp gathering mini game. I'm not a fan or miner or botanist, so maybe smacking ice with my 3 weapon skills isn't for me. I would argue miner and botanist are much more fun, seeing all the skills you can use and being able to appreciate the world you're interacting with.
I get Frontlines is supposed to be chaotic. I don't even mind the 1v1v1 or 24 per team. But, do you want us to actually cooperate and fight other players or just hit a giant blue training dummy with a couple keystrokes?
Feels more and more like a free-to-play game, especially as it ages. Have you considered lowering the cost of a subscription so more people can justify the return on investment?
Terrible analysis. 3rd place will always go after 2nd place to secure the 2nd place. Why would 3rd place go and feed 1st? Lol. I dont think youve played anything else in the past 10 years. The way people play now is meta, and the easiest way to get rewards. To me, there should be 0 rewards for anyone not first place, that would give everyone an incentive to try to be first place. Its a rare occurrence for purely wanting a marginally higher reward. That's not to say it won't happen because the 3rd place team is full of aimless sheep following an equally clueless person who happens to be running towards the 2nd place team, or the current 2nd place team spent most of the game getting greedy and back-capping 3rd place's points so they refuse to want to cooperate in a push against 1st place.
The same logic can be applied to two teams more frequently focusing-down 1st place if the rewards are even higher. So that is to say, nothing changes.
The path of least resistance to what though? If they want more mogtomes they'll pick a different, more lucrative content if they're trying to farm it. That's the path to least resistance. Not fight for 2nd place for the same amount of mogtomes you can get for getting rolled in Rival Wings.
To the Shatter example, red and blue converging on each other isn't because they're actively trying to sabotage each other instead of yellow (who I assume is in 1st in this situation?), it's because they're not totally braindead enough to follow them into their chokepoint while another team is right there, and lack the aptitude of knowing when to back-off; something most people queuing for FL seem to lack. Reducing 3rd place rewards keeps lethargic play from being productive as far as mogtomes are concerned. Seriously doubt people would put in that much effort to sabotage 2nd place for 2 more mogtomes and run the risk of they themselves landing in 3rd.
The worse part is that these weapons skins are gatekept behind diamond rank. They really need to bring back how ranked feast awarded the weapon skins. Or They can learn from gw2 Where you don't have to get to certain ranks, but you have to win to get progress towards a legendary pvp gear.Well, we're getting "new PVP Gear" with 7.1 but I wonder if it'll be anything worth chasing after for glam purposes.
So much of the PVP gear already feels like pointless bloat, like all of the recolors of other content gear on the trophy crystal vendor, or some of the downright goofy looking stuff they expect me to spend wolf marks on (which I do and then trade-in for company seals). Even the Tactical sets they added recently was kinda "meh" for me personally, and I'm not really interested in the Hellhound weapons. At 17,500 crystals, and the chance of that hitting cap before 7.1, I'll have to hope there's vendor trash I can spend them on if the new additions aren't appealing to me.
If that's how games happen on NA, then I truly question the overall sanity on that region. You guys are something alright.Terrible analysis. 3rd place will always go after 2nd place to secure the 2nd place. Why would 3rd place go and feed 1st? Lol. You'll see 3rd going after 2nd occasionally on NA, but it's far more common for 3rd to attack 1st and give 2nd the room to help with the attack on 1st. At least this is the case on Aether.

Man i love the Pack/Liege gear, theyre incredibly creative and unique but the single job restriction kills it for me. Wish they would unlock those.Well, we're getting "new PVP Gear" with 7.1 but I wonder if it'll be anything worth chasing after for glam purposes.

lol. So you call something a "terrible analysis" while regurgitating an even worse idea that would actually have a negative impact on the entire participation overall.Terrible analysis. 3rd place will always go after 2nd place to secure the 2nd place. Mawlzy's take is mostly correct as far as Primal goes as well. Obviously 2nd attacking 3rd and vice-versa happens on occasion, but far more often (especially in Seize and Onsal) you'll see the two teams that are down pincer the leading team (if the positioning is feasible) to the point where they trap them in their spawn. I also think people forget about games where the lead actually fluctuates several times because of it. If the two losing teams attack each other, it's over stupid stuff like grudges, eternally fighting over one node nobody seems to be able to claim for minutes on end while ignoring the entire map, or similarly playing cat-and-mouse where nobody wants to back-off. Also don't forget if the 2nd or 3rd place team suddenly has all the tomelith spawns in their base and the other losing team narrow-mindedly pushes them instead of making the effort to circle around to sandwich 1st place. That's a ignorance/laziness issue, not a "3rd doesn't want to feed 1st so attack 2nd instead."
