I've always been puzzled by the "use Guard" response, because if you have "w" permanently depressed and no additional stuns are applied, you can easily move out of the blender. Guard just slows you down to the point even randos can lock on.

    I play PvP daily as my main source of playtime as well as lazy tome farming. Frontlines has it's share of balance issues but I still quite enjoy it. My only real grip with pvp is that I'm a firm believer that you should never take full control out of a players hand. I couldn't care less about DRK + DRG spam because I can easily jump in my shield and teleport the opposite direction on NIN to avoid the entire situation. I don't care about SAM one shotting people because I can simply ignore them when they pop their shield and then proceed to laugh and burst them down immediately after. Getting absolutely shut down by a polymorph or silence into a barrage of attacks is irritating gameplay though. Hell, just jerk my controller out of my hands and it would be the exact same effect lol.

    DRK on its own, is a horrible experience without a premade.

    Salted earth is strong, but ONLY if your team is willing to push. In most circumstances solo you will salted earth, your cowardly team will run away, or they won't even AoE (Even if you run a salted macro.) Not to mention their DPS has been gimped by 10%. Ninjas and Samurais are *always* looking to LB you the second you're vulnerable to them, and you get chained stunned and MoN to death constantly. Diminished returns when?

    Battle High is also a problem. I get that it incentivizes faster games and to seak each other for kills, but once a team is dominating in battle fevers, the match is usually decided. There is just no coming back unless the Battle Fever team neglects the PvE aspects in favor of killing.

    It's almost more optimal to ignore any of the targetted objectives at the start to rack of Battle Highs/Fevers and then storm the targets later when you can crush them with the power imbalance.

    The mode need a proper "commander' integration at the beginning of each match, vote a commander and a captain (after player's volunteer). Give them proper command and instructions to lead.
    This will be the start instead of relying on Macros and messy callouts.

    Finally found someone else who likes the idea of dedicated commander for each team!!! And it hadn't actually occurred to me it might also reduce this awful macro spam that many of the self-appointed ad hoc commanders seem to believe is essential. Although I've come to the conclusion that, in most cases, these are simply individuals who regard FL as a stage on which they perform in front of their adoring (?) fans.

    And yes. Embracing and/or countering the meta is how PvP evolves. Never thought I'd say this, but a few days ago I had a really enjoyable experience on Shatter. Shout out to commander Xael Jehuty for implementing a novel and effective strat.
