



You seem to have completely misunderstood what I wrote, since I never suggested that it makes sense to have a group focussed on their ice while another team is focussed on them. If you re-read my second paragraph it states the complete opposite of this.Well, seeing as my team was just down 300 from winning grabbing your big ice seems a tad more important than fighting another team. And having a dedicated ice team doesn’t mean anything when the entirety of the third team is killing that group while grabbing the ice.
having played shatter for the first time in a while since their rework, it's amazing how much worse it feels with every adjustment they do
I might be alone in thinking this, but I think just about any rework is better than constantly having to fight off a Monk that baits players towards a nearby bridge and then pushes them off.

If you asked me, anyone who was taking the bait to fight those monks deserved to get punted off the cliff in shatter.
I am more sympathetic to the plight of the cliffs on Borderland ruins, since DRK/MNK would literally pull your entire team off the cliff and there was nothing you could do about it, and it wasn't like you could just ignore the objectives up there.



Hmmm, good question. I've played for a very long time, but I'm forgetting what the before-before was. Can you remind me what was different between that and the version we had just prior to the current shitty version we have now?




The map was different (wider) and ices spawned very randomly on the og version, and you could capture the base of opposing teams.



To me, that was just the before. You could steal bases of the opposite teams, you could Monk knock people off of the cliffs and kill them, etc. I only know that version and the current crap version. What was the third iteration?

I personally liked this version because it actually forced all three teams to fight, not one team running of to go get their large, then getting chased etc etc. I thought the knock off and pull off stuff sucked cause it had people literally camp bridges, but the actual battles were fun and the matches were relatively close


The newest redesign was perfect for me until they destroyed it when they changed the spawn and scoring systems.
There's so few possible game states now, and players still don't understand to go steal enemy small ice before getting your own at base. The map is severely under utilized now with the upper section being almost useless and the opportunity for meaningful small scale fights is completly removed.
