Frontlines sucks Ultra megathread

The problem is that it’s not fun. Let’s also be real though. If there was no stuff to collect, the mode would’ve died a decade ago.

Let's also be real, the stuff you can collect in Frontlines is barely worth mentioning. Compare it to games like EVE Online, or closer to fantasy, Lineage II with its castle, fortress and clan hall sieges.

As far as I'm concerned, Frontline's gameplay is the main reward by itself, and everything else is a bonus I don't need.

Well, the fact that "it's not fun" doesn't strictly depend on you and I. It's not fun for you or for other people, it's fun for me and for other people. This fun is subjective to anyone's personal interest and feeling.

This doesn't take away the many flaws of Frontline (balance issues, unmotivated players, some broken mechanics such as the S spawn algorithm on the new map which feels worse compared to Onsal or even Seal Rock, the RNG aspects, and so on).
However, I keep telling it : for me, there is fun in Frontline (or else I wouldn't have played 1500+ games and enjoyed the epic fights or the tight close wins/losses).

For you, maybe there are much better PvP in other games than in FFXIV. I tried some of these examples of PvP-oriented games. Good for people to like them. Bus as far as I'm concerned, I find no better PvP content for me than Frontline, and that's all I need and ask in terms of PvP enjoyment.
There is definitely room for improvement, but my own fun (and maybe for others but honestly, I know it's not a popular take) is guaranted on this mode.
