Meant like similar FL format with just resource gain and kills not with random mechics speed up fight in rival wing. But knowing SE and their behavior pattern they will never put rival wing into roulette.

People complain about Frontline's gameplay (or lack thereof) and so on, but I think the most awful aspects of it are some of the players of this mode, when someone suddenly says in Alliance chat that "was close but some weren't able to play pvp" or "worst team ever..." and then right afterwards "we are here for fast runs to get fast loots, no ?". All of this as we're losing the game.
I think that's, by far, the worst part of Frontline (and PvP in general, for any game). And this take is from someone who still loves Frontline, no matter what happens in my games.
Moreover, as I don't want to read these messages again, I myself just don't have a second thought and block/mute, as long as I don't lose most important callouts.
Lastly, there are fortunately many awesome teammates too, or kind and positive people (often novices). I also get my fair time of negativity and growling on the battlefield, I'm not all white, but "this" level of toxicity I sometimes see is going too far for a video-game.

They need to delete PvP. It’s not fun and it’s not balanced, especially when RNG players are involved. No one wakes up in the morning hoping on ffx14 to play pvp.
That’s actually pretty sad. Ffxiv 14 pvp will never be balanced, and too much time and resources are put into a mode that does not require skill to play, because it relies on RNG players who don’t even try to play; let's be real, most people hop in for their daily roulette and their series prices. I have yet to get into a single rival wings game because the content is dead. And no, I shouldn’t have to wait until peak hours on a weekend for a chance to maybe get lucky to play it.
Nothing we can do for FL's current flaws, except cope with them or doing our best no matter what (and even so, it's not always rewarding). And it will certainly not change soon, there won't be any miracle changes to solve everything. That’s actually pretty sad. But on the other hand, if people queue for FL for daily roulette and series prices, is it so bad that I should not love and play this mode ? I think not. I'm first to hate unmotivated players. But a good casual Frontline with its fair lot of challenges and awesome skilled players and epic fights from time to time (rare but rewarding) changed my decades long hate for PvP.
I sttill hate anything related to ranked PvP, ladders, and stressful fight for top XX. I'm not afraid or ashamed to say I suck at PvP, meta, high-level skills, multitasks. But curiously, I love to try my best with what I can do in FL. And even when we keep losing, even if you put awesome premades against us, I feel good this way. Part of it because ... it's ... awesomely casual and addictive, damnit xD <3

The problem is that it’s not fun. Let’s also be real though. If there was no stuff to collect, the mode would’ve died a decade ago.Nothing we can do for FL's current flaws, except cope with them or doing our best no matter what (and even so, it's not always rewarding). Unfortunately for your point, there is at least one person (me), and I am proud and love to play Frontline <3 xD
And this, no matter how beaten I get in it or what happens in my games ! <3
Fellow FL lover (even with all its issues), just passing through.
Frontline sucks sometimes, but I do love a 15+minute skirmish in Onsal's middle capture point.
