100% Agreed! I would Definitely want Terrifying Nights in some Areas! Nocturnal Mobs, Aggro Ones. Day and Nocturnal Mobs should be added! Some New Night Battle Themes and Field Themes sounds nice too

More zombies needed at night time too![]()
ohh, i like the Night battle themes. also nocturnal only mobs also.
post 20 or 30 areas, i have run into aggro heavy areas. so, theres areas are out there. staying on the main road, you dont get too much of it. main road danger could be argued in so many ways.
all in all, i am defintely for the addition of nocturnal only mobs, and "more" danger in the realms of Eorzea. seems to make sense, the danger would increase the farther you are from cities/towns
Go to aetherial gates, usually the areas around higher level aetherial gates or unimplemented aetherial gates have monsters that beat your ass. One shot for 1500 damage, I've been one shotted for 3000 damage before :/
I'm going to have to disagree with aggro mobs on the road. If I have somewhere I want to get to, I want to get there. If I want to fight, I'll run off the road and attack something. There should be somewhere we can be reasonably safe.
Off road, I wouldn't personally want it. I'm happy not having to dodge monsters here, and when I'm fighting something several levels over me, the last thing I need is an aggro walking up. The games current lag makes it unlikely I would survive. However, if a majority voted in favor of this, it wouldn't be a gamebreaker for me.
Nocturnal creatures sound interesting. I'm not into undead though. Never really understood people's fascination with it.![]()
No, the world should be dangerous and scary. You should have to avoid aggro and watch where you're going, not autorun and be alt tabbed the entire time because the entire world is filled with passive mobs.I'm going to have to disagree with aggro mobs on the road. Adding aggressive aggroing mobs wouldn't really do much, unless the mobs are +30 to the level intended for the zone they're in, because leashing in this game is stupid and you can just autorun for 15 seconds then the mob stops following you. So, it's almost impossible to actually make the world "scary" like in FF11 without completely editing the STUPID leashing system in place(Which needs completely removed imo, you can't even kite in this game, taking away a lot of skill in playing a mage or archer). I have all these kiting abilities yet NEVER use them because there's no point as an archer, lol.
I miss how in FFXI you were always looking around, always scared of aggroing stuff. Even in the newbie level1-10 zone you were scared of aggroing quadavs/yagudos/orcs/goblins. In this game there's no fear, there's no danger, there's no paying attention. This games actually trains you to NOT pay attention, it's horrible.
Going to valkurm for the first time in FFXI, and the journey back was SOOO scary for me. Even the times after, I was so scared I was going to accidently aggro a goblin or quadav, and constantly freaking out. I also miss "jumping" everytime I heard the ice spikes sound, thinking a skeleton was aggroing me. Can this game have some fear and danger please? I don't like playing a carebear MMO.
Edit: Also do mobs even link in this game? I should be careful of that what I attack, afraid of linking mobs too. I miss that, accidently linking mobs and bam, dying. Why is this game so passive? >_<

It's just my opinion. I've been "paying attention" on every mmo I ever played. I'm happy for the break. I'm never scared running through aggro mobs anymore, I've gotten too good at dodging them. The ones I can't get through are just slowing me down from where I want to go, and tend to annoy me, not excite me.
On occasion, I'll get several at a time (on another mmo) on me at once, which is fun, but I can aggro them myself to do that too.
Like I said, it's not a game breaker.
I disagree There's no reason that the areas bordering civilization should be dangerous. Once you move away, sure. But it doesn't make sense for danger to be that close. I'm quite enjoying finally playing an MMO that doesn't have me aggroing a monster every ten steps.
Given how often I run places -- to camp, to the ferry, to a quest location, etc -- I don't like the idea of aggro mobs all over the roads. I have no problem dodging the odd antling or roselet, but running places is kind of a pain already, no need to make it even more time consuming.
When I go exploring, I find so many areas that are dangerous and full of aggro mobs, but they are always empty. And many of them would be excellent grind spots. I think if people didn't stick to the same basic camps and routes, there'd be fewer complaints about the lack of aggro (but where people have reason to go is another can of worms, I suppose!).
I love the idea of having many more aggro mobs. Does anyone else remember how epic the run to Jueno was from your respective city? We need more of that not knowing if your going to make it feeling in this game, it just seems to lack that part for me. Also where's sneak/invis plzz.
