Item purchased with capped tomes not received

I just tried to purchase a Credendum Ring of Fending at Radz-at-Han.
It took the Tomestones off me, but no ring!

/isearch doesn't find the ring.

Things that may have affected it.

I have the game configured to put gear into my inventory, but my inventory was full. Normally things would just go into my armoury chest when this happens (or the purchase would get denied)

I wasn't on my home world. I was on Mateus, not Excalibur

I'm still new to endgame, having only reached it a couple of weeks back, I don't know if there's anything weird about this vs the usual poetics purchases?
