If you don't like criticism, then stay in your house and stare at your wall. Criticism is a natural part of work and absolutely necessary to hear in order to improve in all other aspects of life as well. It's a blessing to hear. It should make you determined to do better, not make you want to scream, cry, and censor everyone. and if anyone cares about anyone else, then you know that coddling someone only makes them suffer so much more. Telling someone that they're doing a great job when they're not has to be one of the most hateful things I could possibly think of-even worse than anything that was said here. You do them no favors, and stifle their growth. Getting a stubborn look on your face, crossing your arms, digging your heels and insisting that they did just fine to protect their feelings or pride-or more often than not, literally just your own vicariously, is short-sighted and insane.
If a lot of people think it can use improvement, then it can use improvement.
Also, someone tried to hide behind Erenville-Erevnville's VA initially got his fair share of flogging too, until people realized that both Varshahn and Nidhana were at least voiced by actual middle eastern people. THEN everyone let go because well, at least they got SOME of it right. and instead of listening to that initial outcry and noticing how much better people felt about the other two, they just went right back to picking a random lol. It's just one step forward, two steps back a lot of times, with this game lately, and I think people just wish that they would stop. I love XIV but even I have to admit they keep veering off in strange directions lately-for like the past year now. Like they pushed out Endwalker and everything else has just been a lazy half committed after-thought. No heart, no passion. Just getting stuff over with. Disappointing pattern, that's all!
