If i remember right error 30002 error is ISP problems try and open your ports "Note: you could have just google this"

I actually just started getting this as well. I got the game about a little after it came out and I've never had this problem. Hell, I'd craft for hours on end every day and not get the error. I took a break for about a month, though, and just came back yesterday. Started a new character 'cause I decided I needed a change, but went to the same server as my old one (Besaid). Now about every twenty to thirty minutes I get booted off because of this server problem. Nothing has changed with my internet or computer settings. Only thing that changed with FFXIV is the update patches that I got. Kind of drives me nuts. I ended up just quitting after awhile. I was really looking forward to getting back into FFXIV, too, 'cause all I'd really done in the previous months is craft. Really wanted to try out combat, but there's no way I can put up with being disconnected so frequently.

Have *you* tried googling this problem? I have. Only results I get are people complaining about it from Beta and others with the same problem that have thus far received no solution for it. So, really, lay off the guy for thinking that the 'official' forums would probably have more information for it. I know this is the first place I looked after Google failed me miserably.

Of course, if what you meant to say was "You could have used the search function" then I agree with you. I spent a few minutes running through old threads with this problem and found one on ZAM which could help.

Anyway, I'm going to try messing around with it more after I get off work, but things don't really look promising.

yea this had never happen to me before even after the server restart the connection was still ok. I dont wana blame the recent patch's because it could just be the server but yea this just recently started to happen after server got reboot from shutdown and they threw a patch in.
