Everyone has been turning into the same mindless medic tank that Warrior is, and i have no doubt that Drk will get stupid amounts of healing we never asked for in DT so that Warrior won't stick out like a sore thumb with it's comically high sustain.





This is exactly why tanks should not have a raise.
And if the boss still has more than like 25% health it would be faster to wipe and reset the fight, and tanks need to get over their egos and recognize this and wall it.

PLD could raise in 1.0 iirc. Hasn't been a thing since ARR and I don't particularly miss it. They can all heal and mit there's no reason to raise when there are SMN, RDM and green DPS.
Ah, how sad that my modest proposal seems to have fallen on mostly deaf ears. I suppose it would be more enjoyable if healer mains like myself could feel relevant again...
Alas, we've been asking for that for so long, only to have each patch with job changes see tanks get more healing, more dps, etc. Since a return of healer relevence doesn't seem to be forthcoming, it would be wonderful if us humble non-tanks could at least be of some help to our fair blue lords and ladies by not being dead and bored for half the fight.
Tanks nearly always refuse to reset the fight, insisting on shouldering the whole burden themselves. Perhaps they could be persuaded to be less selfless if only they had a way.
Or perhaps Square could change the rules for leaving an instance before a duty ends? If only it weren't for the lockout, I'd surely remove the offensive sight of my corpse from the ground our lovely tanks must walk upon (until they are given flight in DT).

1. Nobody will know if you are being sarcastic in writing on a forum where nobody knows you and even worse suggestions have been made while being completely serious
2. Your suggestion gets it all backwards. Giving Tanks even more tools is just fueling the fire. Which seems to be a normal posts for some MMO players. I always resented prejudices against gamers and thought they were exaggerated but then i read more posts here
3. Your sarcasm might be better suited in a joke thread otherwise everyone should probably question all your suggestions
4. You can just stop playing the game or give constructive critisism. Sarcastic criticism because of fatalism helps no one. Yet another thread for the garbage pile.
5. At this point giving all tanks a rez might not be too off base. I mean Square loves tanks! Shadowbringers Trailer job: Dark Knight. Endwalker: Paladin. Tanks soloing, Warrior healing itself... the list goes on. It seems like it's all "balanced" to Square because a lot of people play WhiteMage... even thought they do it because of the job fantasy. They don't seem to track healers quitting or they don't care or they come to bad conclusions. If only the tanks keep playing then you got to cater to them, right?
6. Your modest proposal (TM) doesn't even come through. Not just because it seems like a good faith post on these forums (you can thank the abyssmal suggestions i have read with my own two eyes) but also because it's not even a jab against healers. 2/3 magic DPS(!!!) have rezzes. One of them is THE best rezzer.

Then what's the point with roles ( tank/heal/dps) ?

It's called a Pheonix Down.
Make it useable in combat, give it a 10y range instead of a 3y one so that if you're trying to heal someone in the one set of duties where it's currently useful (Deep Dungeons) it actually works and you don't end up aggroing the boss after reviving via pomander, and make it stackable.
There. And give it a 10m CD to balance the fact that it's now stackable. If the healer dies in the middle of a battle after being raised by you, they weren't worth having alive anyway.

These are super fun, but I don't think FF14 is build taking this option in mind. Who knows, but I don't think this sort of skill ever happens.
I used to play caster which could do this in awful korean grinder. Pking everywhere kind, until global servers were killed by p2w.
Remember this one afternoon when I was farming by myself, and the same hyper broken cleric-esque mace class, apparently, so it looked like to me, ran the dungeon through in rounds killing everyone.
I think it dawned onto him on 5th or 6th time that he keeps of killing same mage in same room in every patrol he does.
He stopped to stand menacingly by my murdered body, guess waiting for me to resurrect myself :') And that was perfect sign for me to stop for the day.
