We meet a sentient, intelligent bird who is not threatening us in any way, and the party decides to just thoughtlessly kill it like some trophy prize to eat…the only reason given that it might have been inconveniencing some researchers.

Then hypocritically, the hunters talk at dinner about their love of peace, and their disgust with the Garlean’s desire to bend the world to their will.

Of course the hrothgar hunter doesn’t kill and eat her viera bunny friend, valuing only amorphous individuals and happy to subjugate all others.

After some really progressive story like Elpis, I can’t help but just be very disappointed. What’s next, will we cook Alpha for dinner?

This just highlights basically everything that’s horrible about humanity.
