It's bad. I feel like the character was miscast. Why did an American get hired for the role when the hiring studio is based out of London and everyone we've gotten has been from the UK so far?

The accent and pronunciation varies wildly and it shows how amateurish she is in comparison to the rest of the cast. I don't want to have to listen to a mid delivery from a character we're going to be stuck with for the entire expansion.

Give us the ability to swap language for specific characters so I can listen to the superior Japanese Tomboy Wuk.

Tbh, after this I'm never switching back to EN ever again. Woclamal sounds really bad, in that scene where you have both Graha and Krile it's especially jarring, I dislike how flat every line sounds and the fake accent doesn't help, I don't think that whoever recorded this has ever heard anyone from south america speak english before. It's like they hired a guy that never took a drama class in his life and made him a poster actor for a multi-million dollar budget movie. The JP dub on the other hand is perfect, the voice actually suits the characters actions and demeanor.

Personally speaking I liked it. Its still early days but the actress brought that sense of fun, wonder and overconfidence across well, I thought. At the very least she did not sound amateurish to me. Its still early days, but I am looking foward to getting to know the character over the actual expansion and seeing how she grows into the role. I hope people give her a chance too.

Honestly whilst I am a sucker for the UK voices, I see no problem with them getting actors from outside the islands too. Oh how I miss you ARR Merlwyb...

The little bit I heard was fine, just want more voiced cutscenes in general. That is more jarring to me than anything going from a voiced CS immediately into another CS that isn't.

Yeah, VAing so bad it made me sign up on the forums just to add my voice to it. Kind of incredibly insulting to have my own culture be represented by an american putting on a really fake accent. As an actual native speaker of both portuguese and spanish, I cringed with every line. And I was excited to finally have some South America love.

What do you mean it didn't sound amateurish ? Bro, cartoons from 20-30-40-50 years ago have better voice acting, in english or other languages. If you get a radio chances are very high you can come across channels that features actual actors doing audio dramas that sound thousands of times better and you tell me this is not amateurish lmao.

I'm also upset that we finally had our chance for South American voice acting representation and they blew it! I know Kate (the localization lead) said they didn't want an Apu situation like with the Simpsons... So why didn't they give an opportunity to someone from down south???

I could do without the forced accent. Sounds a bit like a caricature and like the VA is trying too hard.

I'd rather they get someone of the ethnicity they're trying to represent to voice the character. I didn't hate the direction they tried to go with Wuk but some of the lines felt like it was a white person trying to sound Brazilian.
