It's bad because the thought "This sounds like a white person trying to sound Brazillian" took you out of the experience and made you realized you are playing a video game. It breaks immersion.

Brazillian is not a race, its a nationality and ethnic, the people native to the brazillain lands of the forest and highlands would use their tribal name and affiliations first, manybrazillians are of Portuguese descent due to the fact that brazils main language is Portuguese and history of colonization

what youre refering to is gringo/Americans , and the VA herself is part puerto rican / eastern US

Idk, people seem to be complaining all over in-game. Japanese forums ain't too happy either. Even on reddit people are very mixed on the delivery and reddit is normally a hugbox.

the character is pretty good but the voice actor is pretty bad. definitely miscast.

While you are entirely correct that the voice is put on and the accent is entirely false (speaking as a south american - to note, so I know exactly what I'm talking about), I don't think Wuk even sounds vaguely brazillian. That accent is non-existent, and to be completely blunt with you, it's actually kind of extremely racist. It's basically taking the way Portuguese-speakers tend to enunciate the "E"s and "R"s heavily, then mixing it in the S-Z melding that you see in more spanish speaking countries such as Peru or Chile, and then vomiting vaguely mexican inflections over it.

Most of the complaints are about the character herself.

had to swap to jp voice for the first time since ARR. luckily old scions barely have any lines so its not a big deal.

I'm not sure if it's just femroth's in general, but they all have a weird derpy look that the males don't have imo. Some of the males they've highlighted in this expansion have been so unique and just looked so awesome..

I like her voice, but some lines just fall flat. No spoilers at all, but sometimes the dialogue is all about enthusiasm, becoming a better version of yourself, etc. and she deliver the lines in a way that reminds me when you were awkwardly told to read in front of the class. I don't mind her, but yeah, sometimes the tone of her voice does not match the dialogue presented.
