This is one corner of our multifaceted criticism put very well, I agree
In one of the deleted threads I made a little rationalizing experiment, just walking my own thoughts from one sensible step to the next. Point of view in that feedback was world building, because Hydaelyn is fantastic world and Hrothgars are fantasy race of people living in that world, which follows its own logic, but also resembles our real world often:
In the real world women retain more neotenous traits into adulthood than men in general. One adult human females' neotenous trait is generally higher voice.
Our playable races are visually well designed, and it is not hard to point out from playable female characters in which races the neotenous traits stay as the strongest. Lalafell, au ra, miqo'te women too retain more childlikeness into adulthood, roegadyn and hrothgar women less, though they are feminine and gorgeous in any case.
Would it be reasonable to expect female hrothgars (in general) to have a lower, ambiguously feminine or androgynous even kind of voice? Would it be kinda cool - I think so, and I don't think this hypothesis is horribly absurd.
From that point of view I figured that miss Bryer with her possibly unique potential when it comes to using her voice might be actually a pretty fantastic pick - if she was able to make it an interesting performance.
Unfortunately not all of us were impressed, myself included, by how flat the performance was because of so limited register to the point it was hard to read what emotions she was trying to get across at times. Voiceacting differs from acting with your whole body in that usually just sounding happy, sad or angry is not good enough, and you want to sound super!happy, super!sad or super!angry to blow it out of the park.
61 pages, all because the VA for a character is trans.
This is a good case study of how much someone else's identity becomes an all-consuming obsession, for those with far too much time on their hands.
Wuk Lamat's VA won't change this soon before Dawntrail, you can either accept it or cope, those are your options.
No one actually cares about her identity. People have different opinions about her work as voice talent, you know, the quality, because she is going to voice new MSQ main character soon. Some are unimpressed by her less than benevolent postings in social media. Good number of her fans around too!
And yes, some people hunt transphobes, because this an internet, but it is also discussion forum so I guess the conversation goes on until it stops.

No, its about bad voice acting. Maybe you didnt read all those 61 pages like me but i still know what its about.
The key is to ignore troll posts and stick to the topic.
Imo the voice acting is not that bad but japanese is way better so i stick with this. Had German before but those are not that good.
What to do??
Play Blue!!
Op straight up discriminating against people with mental disorders and this thread wasn't removed? If someone has any type of phobia it's part of an anxiety disorder. This is exactly the same as saying bipolar people are not allowed, or people with any mental or physical condition. A person with a phobia or any other disorder didn't choose to have this disorder and you have no right to discriminate against people for their illness. It's bad. I feel like the character was miscast. Why did an American get hired for the role when the hiring studio is based out of London and everyone we've gotten has been from the UK so far?
The accent and pronunciation varies wildly and it shows how amateurish she is in comparison to the rest of the cast. I don't want to have to listen to a mid delivery from a character we're going to be stuck with for the entire expansion.
Give us the ability to swap language for specific characters so I can listen to the superior Japanese Tomboy Wuk.
TRANSPHOBES NOT WELCOME. THIS IS A TOPIC ABOUT BAD VOICE ACTING.
This is the most edgy 13 year old that thinks their smart post I've seen in awhile. Did you crack open a monster to celebrate after you pushed the post button?Op straight up discriminating against people with mental disorders and this thread wasn't removed?
