You can't call it "overwhelmingly positive" when any criticism outside of the forums gets deleted and those individuals blocked or banned. You can look at the appreciation thread and see it's barely received a fraction of the activity the other threads on this topic have. You may not like the official forum because it doesn't align with your opinion but the activity difference between those 2 posts paints a pretty clear picture.

Disingenuous to a fault..,

You can only truly show Genuine Praise once, afterwards it's only bouncing off specific things that others mention which you may get an appreciation of.

People usually don't go to the OF that is advertised for feedback to express approval unless it's needed/wanted.

A complaint is much easier to write many more times than apologies, which are much easier than Praise.
(Does it make it any less, no, the contrary. Why do people remember random compliments more than negatives at times.)

The various negative threads only exist cause of the continual locking and releasing of previous threads. Numbers don't mean anything since it's all filled with the same users and reply-ers.

The reason why the the Praise thread also doesn't get flooded is cause (it's over all VA) and those like you would hardly go there unless they know they can sufficiently stay under the radar.

They also want to avoid being permanently be that person over a pit that used to be a hill.(one you've chosen badly)

People tend to only speak out when they have a negative experience and rarely when they tolerate or even enjoy something. Don't let the fact that there is more discourse in this forum about Wuk Lamat than not lead you to believe that the majority of players have an issue with her.

You can take an in-depth look at this forum in general and find there are far more topics and posts dealing with negative reception than positive, it's just the way we are as society. If you are enjoying something you rarely feel the need to jump up and down, excited, and yelling it to the world. However, as soon as something really upsets or bothers you, you feel a more compelling need to complain and seek validation and support from others.

If that's the case then my point still stands and the "overwhelmingly positive" is still incorrect.

I pick C : Work on the accent, or drop it altogether, and put some practice in. Nobody's asking for anyone to be fired here. It's feedback, and feedback is used to enhance a performance. That's like saying "People complained about Eureka - ergo, it's either keep Eureka forever, or delete it entirely, instead of just...perfecting it a bit more and making Bozja.

Bob Hopskins (rip) and Henry Cavil are two actors who can really tone down their accents. Cavil can tone his down a lot more then Hopskins could and it shows.

I mean, you're kind of doing exactly that. You're sweeping it under the rug with a "It's wrong, BUT I understand it". You really are saying "well that's different".No "but", no "but I get where she's coming from", no "but I understand why she's doing it". It's wrong and this is extremely unprofessional and childish.

That's you putting words in my mouth/assuming I'm saying "but that's different." I plainly said it is unprofessional and wrong, even after saying I understand why she said what she said. You could swap Sena's with Karious and get the exact same result: I understand why Karious said what they said, but it's still wrong.

Edit: looking back at what I originally posted, I didn't even say "It's wrong, but I understand."

I think the on-screen time she had was ample enough to warrant the character having been given a chance. The same logic can be said for vocal people who claim that she is also their new favorite NPC in the game. If it was enough screen time for someone to conclude it was a favorite NPC, then it was also enough screen time to have given them a chance. Like all the people who disliked Zero early in.

In all honesty, these forums aren't safe form Twitter either. There are a large number of Twitter accounts dedicated to taking posts from here out of context and getting many many engagement reactions over on Twitter that would have been better off to see here. Even I have had been taken out of context posts copy; and pasted over to those very same accounts where I get more people commenting on what I said over on Twitter than those replying to me here. Infact it's happened to a great many of us and most will never know it.

Twitter is known for its hate-filled content, under the false pretense of love. They can cry as much as they want. At the end of the end, they are simply ignorant. They don't understand what they are doing, so I simply don't let it bother me. Many will grow out of it.
