[Feedback] Wuk Lamat's English Voice

I'm spanish, so Wuk Lamat speaks english with kind of an accent similar to the one I had when I started learnign english (and I kinda keep some of that accent now even though I speak english every day with my wife) so I didn't have much trouble with Wuk's "accent". She even said some times that "eorzean" is not her language and is still learning. But man...yesterday I reached the final trial and that lowercase scream "spheeeeeen, listen to me" in the climax of the MSQ final boss is UNNACCEPTABLE. I didn't care much during the MSQ but they should at least re-record that part and change it. I don't even understand how it passed the quality controls, how a full room of people was recording the lines and they all said "yeah, that's good". then you listen the Japanese version and it's like another company did it.

You'd think such a big role would get her a shoe in with her friends, but she apparently can't even get that, lmao. I'll be here to complain for a long time. Beside the obv reason that men and women sound differently, thats not what the quote states.

The one you quoting (atleast what you quoting) states:
IF you demand people to be a certain way to get a specific role, you should not break the rule yourself.

So if a transperson states that trans-charakters should be voiced by a trans-VA, than the transperson should obv not voice non-transpeople.
Which means that the VA voicing Wuk Lamat is a hyprocrit in their own demands.

And this is a legit argument that you can bring against the VA or other people here that try to defend the VA.

What the voice actress thinks about voice acting doesn't matter; it's no consequence, they're not the one making decisions. To call out her gender as a reason to dislike her voice acting does indeed says a lot about you as the critic. Much less does it contribute anything of value to the topic.

She was complaining about only getting male roles, to not getting male roles. She expects get all the female roles, while no cisgender white girl should get them. Now she wants the male roles too. So she should get both roles, is what I'm getting? If the voice fits, then the voice fits. She's not Ayumu Murase and lacks the vocal capability so IDK what she's expecting.

What's good is that she was supporting Alphinaud's VAs stream. Good because she was hating on Cis and white people like mad before but at least she's professional enough to hide that while working w/ the FFXIV cast... hopefully for forever but I doubt it.
