I could be wrong but is it only the English version that does this? I'm assuming they aren't speaking Japanese in a latino accent in the original version of the game or putting a latino accent on the German version?

Nope, german is perfectly fine... no horrible fave accents. The most we have is some archaic speech or someone having quirks, like Gobbies or Sylphs... I guess thats why i was ok with Wuk...

I've already gathered a lot of evidence in the Voice thread about why Wuk's voice is so lacking. People aren't transphobic for not liking her, we've criticized her acting because she can't scream in the vocal range she uses for Wuk Lamat and the evidence is in the below tweet.



The Latin American, Hispanic, side don't like her because her accent is a terrible representation for them. For a prominent character MC lead for FFXIV, it's shameful that they go what ended up as a fake accent that breaks into an American one during voice dialogues. She herself agrees, if she can't fulfill the requirement for the role then it means she's not fit for the role.



If you're thinking it's because the VA is trans, it's not and highly likely that the VA is terrible person for attacking another VA, or in general all white and cis VAs nonstop, on twitter. In her own words, it can't be hate-targeting and you have to accept that.

We've already given evidence repeatedly and given our reason. Calling people transphobic isn't an argument. Please provide evidence and reason for your liking specific scenes to facilitate a discussion.

It is important to understand that some people have difficulty reaching certain tones, vocal capacity. Sena even says herself that she that struggles with exertion sounds. No one's perfect, but that does mean she won't be able to always fulfill certain grunts and I guess attack noises for the female roles. We've heard her scream with the male voices in the VO reels, but not a female one from the selection shown on reddit, so if we can find more instances of that to relate to Wuk Lamat that'd be great to get a better comparison.



But with that said, if Sena can't reach the capability to for roles not suited for her, then that role should've been given to someone who can. Her own words. She shouldn't have auditioned for a role not suited for her. If she's going to gatekeep, she herself has to be gatekept as well.

If it's wrong to be transphobic, then it should be wrong to be cisphobic, misogynistic, and racist. Just because someone is trans doesn't mean they can't be a bad person, or terrible at their job.

I will say though, with the recent Kris Tyson news, the trans community just took a hit that set them back like a thousand years. People aren't going hard on Kris as much as DrDisrespect though, and I believe it's because she's trans? When you have one group being shielded from everything negative, no matter how disgusting they can be, then people are going to snap one day.

Just wanted to chime in and say that I love her english voice, it has that cute cat sound to it. Forum will be forum and just focus on the wrong things. While she doesn't have the same exaggerations as her japanese voice we can say the very same thing about the rest of the characters, specially Erenville and Urianger.
