[Feedback] Wuk Lamat's English Voice

I've always played the game in English and have never felt the need to switch to a different language. 3.0 onwards, the English voice acting was actually one of the highlights of the game. Dawntrail killed that for me though. Wuk Lamat is absolutely the worst offender, but I thought everyone from the LA studio was pretty subpar too, save for maybe Koana. Switched to French and won't look back. Just skimmed this thread last night and am appalled by Sena's behaviour too, she's making the LGBT community look really bad, which is frustrating to me as a lesbian. Super unprofessional; what's going on behind the scenes at Square? speeeeen.

I'm speed running the story on my alt to prepare for split raid clears. I was able to avoid her voice until her solo instance against Bakool Ja Ja. Now that I've had a chance to clear my head from my initial run of the story, I have to say.... yeah it's awful, but the writing does her no favors. She flatly shouts her grating mantra of "I WILL FIGHT FOR MY PEOPLE'S HAPPINESS" or some variation about 10 times in that fight. The acting is bad, but she doesn't get anything interesting to say.

I don't think VAs should take any blame for this, if anything its the voice directors fault

After all, that person listened and approves the recording and concluded that the performance perfectly fits the scene

I mean whether you like it or not evidence proves it. Thats the problem lately. Many of you want evidence to back up claims yet when presented with said evidence ypu squawk louder to blot out claims cause it either my way or highway.

I do feel that when you keep proclaiming loudly that you're a 'professional' voice actor, you should be able to tell if your delivery is flat or your performance subpar. Especially if you are providing the voice for the character with the most voiced lines.
Much like how a professional vocalist would be able to tell if they're off-key, or a theater actor would know they're not animating well enough.

Why are the other English performances from the new cast acceptable at worst or praiseworthy at best (e.g. Koana) if they had the same voice director as Sena Bryer? In my opinion you can't blame the voice director for this oversight.

We wouldn't need to bring this stuff up if game industry wasn't making a clown of themselves on daily honestly same with wuk lamat voice actor. If ppl weren't so quick to weaponize a person sexuality many of us me included would not have known the person was trans. Ppl trying to be quick to defend with dumb claims why that kinda stuff get brought up at times.....naw for me tho the va just sucks at acting

This. While yes, the directors have to approve the whole thing. The VA clearly can not deliver the lines.

There is a total lack of emotions and range in the VAs voice, which is why the Eng Dub is just so bad.
