Should the Xbox Beta lock all of the non new servers for character creation?

why? we didnt for max, ps5, steam/windows. Big scary xbox wont make any difference to the other platforms.

Less about the platforms, and more so about funneling people to the new worlds.

SE's already working on regional DF/PF, they're still trying to figure out what to do with JP and to decide if they're gonna use cloud servers or not.

Considering the PS4/5 version already exists, the game is known to work on consoles so I don't think there's a reason to split them off into their own corner.

But if they want to direct new new players towards more emptier servers, they could always increase the bonuses they get for it.

They should look at reworking the bonuses you get, and seeing how they can actually incentivize people to play on these new servers on their own accord.

I think forcing people into going into specific servers won't really lead to a desired result.

They should have been funneling new characters and new players to the new servers all along, and I hope they do with the Xbox beta. I hear the comment in other threads that “Xbox players aren’t going to want to be on a dead DC,” but if you put them all there, it won’t be dead anymore!

I really wish that we could get out of this mentality in NA that certain DCs are for certain things. DC travel is great for playing with friends who have characters on other worlds, but it shouldn’t be expected that “Oh you want to do this raid? Go to Aether.” It’s become so common now that everyone just accepts it as matter-of-fact.

This definitely won't work for a lot of reasons, but I also feel that Dynamis is just doomed.

The known population circumstances are one half of the issue, but people on Dynamis are also incredibly cliquish. This is a MMO, and you can't blame everything on the game itself. Community is a big part of what keeps people around and interested.

Meanwhile the main Dynamis discord has had issues with retention, we've had drama regarding people disagreeing about basic human rights, and we have two major groomers/creepers in there that run around freely. You can scoff at this, but this isn't just a server for community purposes. You want to do the latest alliance raid on your home server, albeit at a few selectively scheduled times? You want to do Eureka/Bozja content on Dyna, again with selective times? The list goes on, but this is to say that the server is more than just community but also a valid resource for group finding and completing content on the DC itself.

At this point I am seriously thinking about leaving Dynamis. I HATE to leave because I mainly moved so I could have a house, but I rather come back to Aether and have a cute apartment than be in this dead wasteland. There's no sense of community at all. I miss that.

SE need to provide free word transfers for peoples that move to dynamis and regret it. Now I'm stuck on this dead DC and having to world transfer for content is very annoying with no access to retainer bell.

Hoping the new expac will fix this issue but its very unlikely unless they allow cross dc party matching.

Was wondering how many people feel the xbox beta should lock character creation to only the new servers? Seems to be a reoccurring topic on the new servers.

They honestly should funnel them into dynamis to try to liven that up
