i really believe we need to discuss how to improve the game together instead of casting shade on people willing to criticize the game or on people who want to defend the game, we all are here because we like the game, and we all want the best from the game.

That's just this forum in a nutshell, and I can guarantee you every single "Doom Thread" is made by someone who has kept an active sub and has played through every expansion.

It doesn't feel particularly encouraging to me that there's no indication any of the core gameplay content is actually getting improved; just assurances that it's going to be there (As per usual).

Making bold claims about this being comparable to an "ARR 2.0" doesn't hold much water when most of the confirmed updates are strictly cosmetic thus far.

I suppose that might change, but considering history...

It seems well agreed upon that in an effort to become not like WoW/more like a single player rpg, the game forgot that it's a sub based MMO, and thats a bad thing.

I mean you can’t deny their opinion is valid though, grinding and repetition are core tenants of the MMO field and some of us started playing the game when that was a part of how you progressed in this game

Except I've never made the claim there shouldn't be any grind at all. I've stated that lowering the grind to something that doesn't become tedious isn't a bad thing. Which, it isn't. We're not teenagers anymore, we can't just skip real life and responsibilities for the sake of some artificial grind.

I grind just as much as anyone, some of the grinds are perfect, some (like Bozja and Eureka) are miserable. There's a happy middle ground.

I've made no demands. I've stated my opinion that the arguments presented, that Endwalker is bad and lacks content because it doesn't have some endless three-four month exploratory zone grind, as disingenuous. Where did I make any demands whatsoever? If anything, it's most naysayers who demand, demand, demand.

Demand that jobs play how you like and when they're changed demand that it should be changed again.
Demand that they should ilvl lock the Alliance Roulette because you got bored of CT (ironically enough, because endless repetition is boring... gee, what a revelation)
Demand more content, but only if it's the content you like.

For all your blustering, you don't seem to realise I can make the same argument for you as well, "Maybe you shouldn't be playing FFXIV if you don't like how things are, it's not game for you.", but I don't say that, because I'm at least trying to be considerate of your arguments.

The hilarious part is that there's another thread going around now about PoTD being too grindy and rng for the Bozja relic weapons and should be a guaranteed drop from floors 51-60. I've done two Bozja weapons to completion, farming PoTD for 30 of those things, floors 1-150 take around 3-4 days to get all 30 of those. The irony that people will demand more grind, but then complain they have to grind something as easy as that, 3 days across two saves.

Disingenuous; how? That’s a totally valid opinion to hold, EW’s post patch content has been garbage whether you like field content or not.

“I’ve made no demands but also your opinion that EW is bad is wrong” yeah certainly seems like you are a neutral party here, and yes if you don’t like something you ask for it to be changed, that’s how we get most of the improvements this game actually gets, like you know the change to the roulette, which makes the non CT raids pop much more quickly, not sure why you are arguing that’s a bad thing

And yes you could make that same argument, you basically already are, you don’t get “high road points” for pointing out arguments that you aren’t making while basically making said arguments anyway, call me out directly and say FFXIV isn’t the game for me, it certainly isn’t going to bother me because I’ll stick fast to my opinion if you started less than a year ago and you think that Bozja is too much of a grind then MMO’s aren’t the genre for you
