So it may be theorycrafting but you really are responding like a certain individual so by all means bolster my theory but I did say if you weren't then well....you need to take a loooong look in the mirror and see if this is a hill worth dying on really.irrelivant thoerycrafting at best
if the content has no replayablility its objectivley lower in quality because its been done in the past and better
it hasnt allways been to the point we have no action trailer (which is 100% a big deal since were promised drg/ast reworks aswell as 2 jobs 1 ppl are very nervous about)
we shouldnt have to wait for a media tour we should have had it then with every other job
youve met sds fenrir right? the p2w mount that nerfed zadnor in its release. what about the level skips and story skips? is that not paying to win the msq? to get to raids and engame faster. to circumvebt the massive game
leaving silent isnt tangable feedback
JEEZ LUL
1) To extend the point further there is ways to replay said content it just doesn't have a long term purpose like before it doesn't mean the time put into making it was rushed...it is quality it wasn't half assed it was experimental at worst.
2) Those job reworks aren't a selling point of the expansion...the expansion is the NEW JOBS and NEW AREAS etc not here is the rework of old jobs...those will come in the live letter lead ups...they're not part of the marketing of an expansion....new players wont be sold on a dragoon or astro rework compared to here are 2 new jobs that might appeal to you lol...understanding what the marketing of this expansion is actually about but ok continue.
3) Level skips and story skips aren't pay to win....there is no winning in skipping the levelling or the story....you got to the end faster but you dont have an advantage...you will both go for your raid gear etc and be at the same point...pay to win gets you mainly somewhere further beyond the regular player....there isn't that in this game. It is still pretty much a level playing field...just speeding the process on how one engages with the story doesnt count. In regards to zadnor....like its a zone that everyone was lvl sync'd and you just dont fates and critical engagements you signed up for...please enlighten me what else this 'mount' gave to people to have an advantage in a zone that doesn't offer an edge to anyone lol.
4) Leaving silent is tangible...it effects metrics...and metrics are what they look at....seeing 10,000 people leave for example is more damming then 10,000 people moaning about X,Y,Z but still paying their sub....they still have your money XD
LUL LMAO HAHA SOOO FuUUUnny....you like 12 or something lol
Sure. At the cost of integrity. You essentially let every paying customer know that your soul has a price and the result is what has happened to other entertainment franchises such as Marvel and Star Wars. Current day NFL. Along with other games in the industry such a Tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat, The Last of Us P2, etc. It paves the way for shows like Velma, and books like Twilight and 50 shades.
When companies are willing to cross that line, they express that no amount of money is enough. Greed is a very deadly sin.
And? Are you by chance a citizen of any civilized nation? A resident of a state/city/town? Employed or a student? Are you 100% on one side or the other of being either happy or disappointed with the current state of matters? Few people are actually this way. Mood changes are not a sign of a mental disorder that needs medication, but rather an intrinsic aspect to being human, and alive. The op seems to flip flop between defending the game to then posting these doom threads of how the company is horrible for selling merchandise and being predatory with it's cash shop and not producing enough content. Then will make post about how we have too many jobs and defending cash shop purchasing. One week they seem to dislike the game it's community and the company then the next week defend it then go back to calling out the company for apparently being predatory for making money.
Speaking for myself, I also express both content and contempt when it comes to FFXIV. I look at how we've arrived where we are at, and the direction the game is headed. I recognize that there was a time when substance mattered more than money, and it is fleeting. My disposition is mired in the defense of the former, and absolutely despising the latter. The human heart is not systematic or logical. Joy, happiness, nostalgia, fear, and sadness are all found there. Every single one of them can be aimed at the same subject, and often are.

Ok, I have not done the ultimate. Is that all you can reference? A bug in one of the most mechanically-sophisticated fights in the game that is understandably complicated even from a developer perspective?
I am referring to everything else. The beauty of the dungeons. The attention to details and background effects. Fighting in the background. Particle effects. Smooth, well-telegraphed boss fights. How the spider boss in the latest dungeon just dashes around. How Carbuncle jumps around in P5. It's all so smooth!
I forget about this bug. What is it? If it's not fixed then I wonder if it even is a bug.ninja mudra bug makes it near unplayable
Reward quality isn't really the same as a content quality issue.criterion has no rewards and then suddenly a horrible reward
Same for all this. People cheating isn't SE's fault.relic has no substance. half the new glames dont go on vvierra/hrothgar. horrendous cheating in new content, tomestone cap at 450 being drawn out to naeseum, savage rewards being given easier for less books and basically negeting the 12th fight.
This is always going to be ping's effect on things that move fast. Some of it was actual timing errors by the player (particularly for the second round). If they anticipate for it, it becomes easier.horrible sevrer coding causing a miserable time in blundervil
True.but you bdont even know if the quality of that will be good enough
I said it was true.how is it not true when you just said they announced it...
Who are you to say employees should work themselves too hard, burn themselves out and not have enough time with their significant other and their children? That was their reasoning and if that is how hard they are working, I don't think it is right to pressure them to be overworked.also nobody was arguing the ownership of it, we were arguing it should never have happened
There was 1 fanfest due to covid. Every other expansion has always had 3 fanfests.dude no its not. i was watching the run up to endwalker and it was nothing like this. there was 1 fanfest with all the information you could need and a definitive release date
Yes, the release date has been delayed. They said they know what the release date is, but they want to make absolute certain they can meet it before they release it. I don't see how it's such a big deal to delay telling us the release date by a week or two, or whenever it is. We know roughly when it is anyway. We're only waiting for date in the Summer, such as June or July.
Much as I've always wanted the playdead emote, after 9 years, I still don't have it. So there's your proof that it's not essential. I remember the glowsticks came from a seasonal event, so there was a way to get them in the game, but I personally don't care for them anyway.
Bye Felicia!
I wasn't going to really going to post but earlier Sind, someone left some feedback (which is what the forums are for) in regards to the new statue and emote tied to it.
In a post you absolutely berated them for THEIR decision about using THEIR money. Including a GIF and everything. I though it was a very distasteful reply.
The poster then felt the need to justify THEIR actions and they have since edited their thread.
I really have no sympathy for this post TBH.
feel like saying i was berating them is a stretch tbh
You always write such good posts, thank you for that.Sure. At the cost of integrity. For my two cents, I've been around long enough to see the rise and fall of video games in general and Squaresoft in specific. Final Fantasy I was my second RPG and my Nintendo days were large split between it and Dragon Warrior/Quest.
I watched Squaresoft stumble and fall and I watched Square Enix come into being. Then I watched that unholy conglomerate start trying to find ways to squeeze out every red cent from both series, watched Final Fantasy become obsessed with graphics over content or depth culminating in a game that is in no way Final Fantasy.
XIV was a nice breath of fresh air for a while but...that rides over.
Isn't this the same LGBT girl that said they love Square for Pictomancer?
