Stop linking exclusive emotes to limited statues if you are going to sell out so fast

I pre-ordered the statue with minute the web page went live. 2 days later my order was declined even though there's plenty of credit available on my account. Since the statue is already "sold out" I can't re-process my order, so F me I guess.
I'm sure a huge number of the orders fulfilled are going to be up on Ebay for double the price++ and there's an INSANE market for the older statues with usable codes.

I own the Omega, Ultima, and Odin statues. I missed the announcement of the Shiva statue by 2 days as well so was never even able to try to buy that one.

It's one thing when people aren't willing to spend the $$$$ on the statue, but it's something else when you can't buy it even if you WANT TO.

If you just want the statue, just wait a small bit and you'll be able to snag it brand new on ebay for like, half the price.

If you just want the emote, you're wanting to spend $400 on an emote. Maybe the universe is trying to tell you something.

I wish no things like emotes were limited, but it's just what they do and they must know how it makes people feel who can't even get them, especially when it's something region-locked.

I remember them saying they have to be careful on that given server resources. Imo all secondary items (associated to books, statues, music CDs, etc) should become separate mog shop purchases after a limited duration exclusivity (up to like a year, when stock is limited, 2 if stock is not). And /all/ non-consumable items will be account wide.


The whole account wide thing is hilarious... in like a really sad way lol. Better be an accident. I have to imagine this fact, as it is at least, makes it great for resell

Yoshida's exact phrasing was they were going to save those slots for "expensive items." Needless to say, much like housing, Square Enix brass has made that statement look like a blatant lie.

Is this an issue with delivering it and it sitting in the mailbox on alt characters who don't get opened for a while?

Or a problem with too many people having access to an item/emote/minion?
